Hello everyone! One of the readers of Mares pointed out to me in the comments that Mares: Heated moments is one year old today! I kinda feel a little bittersweet about it really. On one hand the stories are doing well and lots of people like them; but I kinda thought I would have been done with it by now as well.
Speaking of, yikes, has it really been almost six months since I did an update on that thing? Man, I am so sorry guys, I really am. I had no idea that I had let that much time pass since my last update. I feel bad about it, I really do, but I have something of a decent excuse I think. One: I had to go over seas twice in six months to deal with some slight miscalculations with a few clients. I am sorry if that sounds like a lead in to a story, but it isn't.
I almost got outed as both a brony and a massive clopper by accidentally making sure I had a private window up and cleared my search, browse and download history on my laptop before letting a co-worker use it. Essh, did I have to a yarn or bullshit to make up an excuse to why there was some rather revealing pictures of Pinkie Pie in there. So, there was that big scare in there. Between you and me, I think a couple of my co-workers are bronies and are closet cases like me. I just don't have the balls to approach them about it. Which is kinda ironic if you think about it. I mean, I work a job that requires me to be rather bold in certain situations. And yet, I do not have the bravery to talk about little sexy cartoon ponies to other people....kinda sad...
I hope everyone had a chance to read: to Hold Her. I had a lot of fun working on that one while I was running around from here to there. And while I may not be doing another one shot like that so I can focus on Mares. I do plan on having Void Heart update the Mares cover with something a little bit more along the lines of the fic. While Rainbow Dash waiting on the bed with some lovely bedroom eyes isn't a great thing. I have always thought that the pic gave off the wrong image and made new readers think the fic was just about her; she hasn't even gotten her own chapter yet! I have started the next chapter of Mares though. I am a few scenes in and I think it is going to turn out really cute when I get it done. So, expect to see that pop up in your alerts in hopefully a few days. So, cheers to everyone that has stuck around my half a year hiatus, hopefully I won't be doing that again anytime soon; will just have to see how the job goes. Whoa! It is a year old today! Well congratulations on that milestone.
I've only ever been caught as a clopper once in the three years I've been one. It was a coworker that I play video games with on occasion. Like the idiot I am I use this username on everything from Steam to rule 34 databases and he recognized my username on a Lightning Dust piece I'd uploaded. It was an awkward confrontation until I realized that the only reason he'd seen the comment was because he was on a rule 34 database looking at Lightning Dust taking it from Spitfire. It's nice having an otherwise normal guy to discuss cartoon mares with.
2437179 Aww, that's so nice. I too have a brony pal that I can confess all my lusty mare fantasies to. I almost kinda use him to bounce ideas off of for future Mares chapters'. I think it is very important to have at least one or two friends that have the same tastes as you. Good for the mental health and all that.

He is not a "clopper" in that he jerks it to the horses, so much as he is amused that horse sexytimes are so popular and generally better-written than other R34. Personally, my stories are all-horse: something about those mares makes what I normally would consider a cringe-inducing novel if it were humans into erotica I'd actually read.
