Been playing a bunch of Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior lately, and there's one thing that bugs me. Just about every single line (with the exception of the 'yes' and 'no' emotes) from the pirate is either a rape joke or a dick joke.
Seriously, guys? Come on. There's a limit to how funny this shit is, and despite the fact that the meatheads who run Deadliest Warrior seem to have found it pretty fucking funny, it gets pretty fucking old.
Every single time there's a pirate in game, all you hear is "Yarr! Rape joke!" "Yarr! Penises are things that exist!" "Yarr! Do twelve year old boys think I'm funny yet?!"
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going 'omg you shouldn't acknowledge penises and rape exist' like some sort of Australian politician. No, my issue is that they're taking away any identity the pirates could have had and making them /that fucking class/.
Anyone who plays this type of game, you know exactly what I mean. The 'seriously, dude?' Class. The one that you annoy everyone on the server by picking class.
Immature humour has its place in things sometimes, but not when you make it literally all a class or character is about.
