All her life, Amber Shine had always wanted a life of adventure and excitement. When she joined the Equestrian Night Guard, she got a life of boring patrols. Now, thanks to spell gone awry, this guardspony is going to finally get her wish.

    Hey there chummers

So, last time I posted one of these I was a bit of a sad sap and waxed nostalgic for a minute and went on about not wanting to write much of anything anymore. Well I'm happy to say I'm back writing again and incidentally it happens to be yet another fanfiction. Only this time around, it has pretty much nothing to do with ponies or Star Wars. No my friends, I've fallen in with Shadowrun.

    Wow

So, it's been a long while since I said or did anything on here but today I feel like I have something to say to everyone. Thank you.

    The Redeemer of Souls

I don't know how many of my readers or watchers are metalheads, but I just wanted to put this little factoid out there. Judas Priest's new album Redeemer of Souls is freaking great! Now I'm not gonna fanboy it and be all "Yeah everything is perfect" and junk, Rob's getting on in years and you can hear it when he avoids hitting a lot of the high notes. But when he does it hits like a truck made of

    I did a thing

So, this would be me blatantly plugging yet another project I've started playing around with.

If you play DnD or any kind of tabletop games, then you might enjoy this.

    A possible change

So, I think it's pretty clear that I'm probably not going to continue Dependable Blades anytime soon. I feel like the problem I'm having with the story is the fact that I've honestly got very little over arching plot which has given me very little to push things towards. Much like the table top games it was based from, the story has more or less died without something beyond random stuff

A little update · 6:21pm Aug 20th, 2014

So, thought I'd give a little heads up on the new chapter to Dependable Blades. This latest chapter is taking a while, mostly because it's based off the first module I ever played and I'm really hoping there are some other AD&D people out there that recognize the name, Castle Amber. There's a lot that happened during that game and really helped me and my friends cut our teeth as adventurers, but there was also a LOT of boring busy work too. Gotta remember, back in AD&D you had to go through all the motions because the DM kept track of every single step you took in the right and wrong direction. Anyways, this one is going to be pretty long, thinking I'll just split it up into a three parter.

The other thing that's slowing me down is the fact that my old D&D group has reformed since the new players handbooks have dropped. I have to say, I'm really excited about the changes in 5th edition. Sadly since a lot of them work the local Ren-Fair, we wont be able to start playing until November. In the meantime though we're all getting our heroes set up for the adventure. Our lineup is looking pretty strong, we got a Paladin of Vengeance, a War Cleric, a Hunter Ranger, a Moon Circle Druid, a Shadow School Monk and I'm bringing an Arcane Trickster Rogue. I can't wait to actually play this game considering how many years it's been since we all sat down together, threw back a few beers and rolled some dice.

Anyways, that's what's been going on for me aside from work and junk. If any of you have been playing around with the new D&D books, lemme know what you think as well.
