    On the fabled chapter 9.

It is about time I come clean and inform you all of what's been going on behind the scenes, so I'm making this blog post to put it all out there.

To put a long story short for those not interested in reading lengthy paragraphs: Chapter 9 is ready in spirit and word, but lacks most of it's needed proofreading.

I'm curious about something. (To all those that started tracking me after I posted chapter 8)

I'm curious, how did you come by my fic? Random search on here? was it recomended to you? Did you stumble upon it some random day you were bored?

    Allright, update time!

OK, my hunt for pre-readers didn't go that swell to be honest... But who am I to blame?
I'll just have to try my best to bring you all chapter 9 before the year ends, that's the best I can promise really.
In other news: I've lightly started working on chapter 10, drafting out the major bits.

Here we are again... ( I need new pre-readers)

Hello there readers and followers! Some of you (not that many) Have been asking when chapter 9 is to be released, well that release just met a bump in the road...

Normally I have 4 pre-readers helping me out on the fic, but lately due to personal reasons some of them aren't around that much.

Chapter 9 now not too far from being published.

Ok, update to you all. I finished Chapter 9 at 4A.M this morning and then handed it over to my pre-readers for editing. So if all goes well, expect to see it posted here either late Saturday, sometime on Sunday or at most; Monday. Final word count will be about 4200 words.

    That is all for now.

On the fabled chapter 9. · 2:26am Aug 19th, 2014

It is about time I come clean and inform you all of what's been going on behind the scenes, so I'm making this blog post to put it all out there.

To put a long story short for those not interested in reading lengthy paragraphs: Chapter 9 is ready in spirit and word, but lacks most of it's needed proofreading.

The longer story is simply that all the proofreaders working with me on the story back in 2012 slowly trickled away one by one some time after Chapter 8 came out. I have nothing bad to say about this in any way as everything related to the story was a team effort and it was done on their free time.

It saddened me somewhat though as the story itself required and still requires proofreading by someone other than myself as I am not capable of finding every minute error in my own writing despite all the modern aids available to writers today. So that is the state of the story at present, I have tried to find proofreaders for the story since then, but I haven't had any breaks so far as my name on the site is too small and obscure to attract any of the proofreaders here and my old contacts have moved on from the fandom / aren't able to proofread the text.

I should in all this mention that the chapter itself was written during a rocky time proofreader wise where I had no guarantee in any way so I deliberately wrote the story so that Eternal Bonds can end at Chapter 9 if need be. This is not my final wish by all means as I have countless stories to tell about the life of our couple, but one cannot always get one's will.

So this is the dilemma I have to face, do I soldier on with the text and publish it as is or do I continue the hunt for proofreaders after all these years?
I honestly have no idea what to do here which is why I'm making this post today, I'm asking for advice simply put.

I should elaborate somewhat though: What I want right now are some outside suggestions; do i keep on looking or should post the story? If so, where? Here or on DA? Both?

So please feel free to voice your opinion on the matter, any and all opinions welcome.

Slictz.
(Also feel free to bash any spelling/grammatical errors in this blog post if it pleases you)

1st question :rainbowhuh:? Un-decided due to not readin t tagged fic in awhile n' bein moar interested on other fics not native to this site :facehoof:. However i could try my hoof on proof readin for u if u want :duck:? i may be new to it but, lik i said i'll try . Also to t 2nd question? Do both i guess :applejackunsure:?

I have stuff-doing for the next few days, but I could probably run some editing on the chapter after that. I have my past work along those lines listed on my user page, though Ace Combat admittedly ended up going pretty horribly (likely not my fault).

I'd be happy to try proofreading if you like. On the other hand, if you'd rather get it off your chest, I'd say publish the chapter as is, let the chips fall where they may, and then use the feedback from your readers to get new inspiration for the story.

It's worked for me, anyway. :twilightsheepish:

Could it be...
A fic that seemed to be abandoned gets an update?
And such a good fic, at that?
I would totally offer to proofread, but i currently have enough work with my master thesis. In addition, english isn't even my first language, so i guess i wouldn't be a big help.
But i'm glad to see this fic being resumed after that long time.

If you need a proofreader with lots of spare time I'll gladly help out. I remember this is one of the first stories I've read, and it got me started on my own track to writing good stories because it was one of the first good stories I've read. I've been away from reading fanfiction in general, and I miss writing it, so maybe helping you out will help spark a new story (or help get my ass back in gear and finish some of mine) or even spur you on to keep writing more than 9 chapters and to keep it going.
I'm not professional, But I can get the job done.

ill also help to proof read
