Random Thought: Chapter Length

Sometimes, I think I haven't made my chapters long enough. Then I see most stories have about 1,600 words to them on a complete one-shot, and I average about 3,000 or so words on a single chapter.

I suppose that's because I like to think episodically when it comes to my stories. In my first one, I wanted to make something complete with the reaction of each kid to their transformation. Whenever I type out a chapter, I try to make it a certain length before I feel comfortable finishing it and publishing it.

So, I wanna know: Do I make my chapters too long? Still too short?

For me the actual lengh is ok., but don't make them shorter if possible.
