GftF (Act I) complete · 4:22pm Aug 12th, 2014
Ghosts from the Future (or as it will henceforth also be known: Act 1 of Fragmentation of Harmony) is now complete!
It's probably the longest story I've ever written, and certainly the first I've ever published where others could read it. I like writing mainly because I enjoy the creative process itself, and I've never had any particularly strong desire to showcase my work to others. It was quite a random decision to put it up here, and although I don't really have the time or motivation to advertise it, I hope those who have stumbled across it have found it entertaining enough.
As for the story itself, I'm sure I could ramble on for hours about the plot and characters and why I did things in the way I did, but I doubt anyone would be interested. What I will say is that there will be 3 Acts in total, and although the remaining plot is roughly mapped out, the details need more work so it may be a while before Act 2 comes along (although I do write fairly fast, so who knows?).
Act 2 will take place after a bit of a time skip, and will feature a switch in terms of which characters get most of the limelight. Should be fun!
While that's in the planning stages, I may write some shorter stories in the meantime. I may even do some more 'Constrained Writing' pieces (like my Dammit I'm mad with a palindromic dialogue), because I find them stupidly fun to write, even if the narrative itself is always a little weird to read...
Take care!
