Gracious in Defeat. Honest.

So that obvious cheat lovely chap Blueshift won the UKofE writing contest for the first month! Am I annoyed? YES! A little, have a photo of me balancing plushies on my head. It cheered me up.

I'm kidding, if you haven't guessed already. I had a blast writing that story, seeing as I've never written about my OC before. The other contest entries were all great, but Blueshift won it, my theory being that he went for the 'dem feels' approach, rather than the 'make 'em laugh' approach. I really need to steal his brain and harvest his writing powers try that tactic sometime...

But seriously, congratulations to Mr Blueshift. There's still many an opportunity ahead for me to kick your flank at these contests!

I'll possibly write a few more OC-centered one-shots in the future, but for now, I have other priorities. 'On The Rocks' will be with you in less than a week, so to the fans of the Scotch-verse trilogy, I thank you very much for your patience, which will soon be rewarded. I hope the finale meets with your expectations, and I apologise wholeheartedly for the wait. I will be submitting it for review before the Fimfiction deities at 2100 hours GMT on August 7th, meaning it should be up shortly after.
