A Christian nerd; probably the only guy you ever met who wanted the Larrymobile to be transformed by the All-Spark. My brother, The Traveler12, is NOT the lamest person you've ever met. Check him out!

Spoiler Alert: Generation X, Part 3 · 11:58am Jul 28th, 2014

:fluttershyouch:: A-actually, it's all happening in the dream world. Angelo gets visited by Tresh again, who wants Angelou to help him get his body back. Angelou doesn't want to break into a prison hospital, so Tresh th-th-threatens Angelo, the blonde, and Angelo's sister with mental t-t-t-torture while they sleep. Th-this scene must have been VERY awkward to shoot, because Tresh is being R-R-REALLY cr-creepy in it, and Tresh's actor is 37, while the actor of the sister was o-only 17.

:rainbowlaugh:: So Angelo reattaches Tresh's mind with his body, but the scientist then kidnaps him so he can dissect Angelo's brain and steal his mutant powers. I gotta say, your powers are REALLY pathetic when a non-powered, unarmed geek can kidnap you with no problem. It's not like Tresh had hostages anymore; he isn't in the dream world now, remember?
:twilightangry2:: Tresh, being a lunatic, gets a good night's sleep before operating, allowing Angelo to use the above-average psychic abilities all mutants have in this film to contact Jubilee. Jubilee warns Frost and Banshee, who decide to envelop Tresh's lab in the dream world, then send the kids in there to fight him.
.........
WHY?! If you fought him in the real world, he'd be SIGNIFICANTLY easier to fight! It's not like you need to use the dream world to find him; you can already find Angelo using Cerebro! You already showed us the TV-budget version you own!! Why in the world....?!
....It's almost over.
:ajsleepy:: Refrax apologizes ta not-a-Vampire-Slayer, then they all jump in ta beat up Tresh. Who's wearin' a Kimono while insultin' Angelo's haircut. You can see Angelo's actor tryin' not ta laugh as he's about ta be killed. However, Tresh is able ta hold off the heroes, 'causin he's become an omnipotent mutant through prolonged exposure ta the dream world.
Ah'm no scientist, but even ah find that fishy.
:duck:: Angelo, however, sacrifices himself, pushing both him and Tresh into the dimensional abyss. Frost seems remarkably torn up about this given that she did nothing to stop him, but Angelo manages to save himself by stretching his way back. Didn't he only stretch an extra six feet in the comics?
:facehoof:: Ignore it.
:duck:: Right. So the heroes go back home and finally get their uniforms, which are probably the most faithful you will ever find in a live-action X-Men project. The movie ends with Tresh in the prison hospital, indicating that he's not quite gone. Well, obviously; I would think an omnipotent villain would be just as capable at escaping an abyss as someone who can stretch a little.
:twilightsheepish:: So, how bad was it? *sigh* Not as bad as I made it look, actually. True, there wasn't a fight scene until the last ten minutes of the film, and the science could be INFURIATING at times. But the cast was generally enjoyable, the special effects were...ambitious, and it had a fairly serious tone and tried hard to reach the teenage audience it was intended for. It also had high ratings when it aired. Overall, it could've made a fairly good TV show. So why wasn't it picked up? Well, if my research is to be believed, Avi Arad decided not to make a full show because,

...if you do a live-action television show, you cannot do a live-action [theatrical] movie at the same time. A free show and the big movies could not co-exist.

........
:rainbowkiss:: Someone might want to tell that to DC.
: Still, it wasn't that bad after all, right Twilight?
:facehoof:: ....I suppose not. What's the next film on the list?
:pinkiehappy: X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
........
:twilightangry2:: YOU RUINED DEADPOOL, MARVEL!! I WILL KILL YOU, YOU HEAR ME?! I WILL KILL YOU A....

:applejackconfused:: Em, we might wanna push it back a couple'a slots. Ya know, so she can cool off.
:rainbowderp:: Um, yeah, yeah. That sounds like a good idea.

I wonder if Twilight's played the Deadpool game.

2322589 If she has, she hasn't told me. :applejackunsure:

2322591 I hope not, because while major fans of the character can appreciate it, the gameplay is extremely disappointing.

2322593 That reminds me, I should probably build some hoof-sized controllers so the girls CAN play video games.

2322606 Come to think of it, how would you do that? I mean, a human gamer can theoretically do eight things at once with a modern controller without really moving his hands; ponies have the equivalent of two fingers, and they're not even thumbs.

2322593 To me the gameplay was........ Passable. Okay that's just the fanboy in me saying that, but at least they didn't charge full price for it.

so Tresh th-th-threatens Angelo, the blonde, and Angelo's sister with mental t-t-t-torture while they sleep.

Just gonna leave that there.....

And here we see all my hatred for Avi Arad summed up nicely.

I'll have to check this out sometime....and I can't wait for the X-Men Origins review, Twilight:trollestia:

2322622 ....hmm, I might have to add a Coleridge Compensator to the controllers, then.

2322804 Funny story; the director was also the director for Nightmare on Elm Street 2.
Like I said, for Twi's sake, we're going to push the Origins review back a couple slots. Ignoring any recent/upcoming films that might pop up, I'm also thinking of reviewing the original TMNT live action films before reviewing Michael Bay's reboot.

2323429 Sounds like a good idea.

2323378 And that would be... what?

2323752 A device I invented that adjusts Willing Suspension of Disbelief to a level appropriate for the situation.
