A brief... · 12:38pm Jul 26th, 2014
One moment to alert anyone who still watches me as an author, you should know that I am indeed, alive and somewhat alert, and there are BIG things on the way.
Firstly, and im sure most importantly to the fans, if you exist, Allons-y does have another chapter in the works it is just coming along VERY slowly because the story involved in it is difficult to work with, that probably should've been guessed the moment I featured some crossover elements, but it is in progress.
Second, I will be writing a lot of short stories in the coming months to keep the edge on, though I'm guessing there will not be many of them avaliable because as I'm learning quickly ponies are a nice prose for original characters, but original characters don't seem to have much of a place in the fandom itself and your classic background guys have too many different established personalities to really come out with a strong story.
Third, and in my mind foremost but I'll let that opnion be somewhat alterable, there is a very large, very intricate work in progress commisioned by a fan that has been in the works for a very long time now and was able to be started at the end of last season. The first good chunk of this will be published all at once hopefully by the end of july but it shouldn't take much time afterwards. This will probably be my main devotion for the time being but I won't give any details about exactly what is being worked on here, but I will say this is a HUGE project with a lot of people actually working on this together, i have co-authors, editors, artists for cover work, the whole mess of things, it's going to be a HUGE production and will hopefully be a breaking thing for me.
Anyway, tl;dr, Allons-y isn't (quite) dead, short stories will not be a major theme, big project in the works. I know that my personal fanbase is small, very, very small I'm sure I'll admit I'm not one of the better authors on this site but I want all of you to know I appreciate that you've stuck this far, whether you number ten or a hundred. I read once that as long as your writing is enjoyed by at least one person you should keep writing and I like to think I've impacted a number of you in a positive way, so keep an eye out because things are going to change and they are going to change quickly. I look forward to seeing you as things progress.
Hopefully not dead in a violent confrontation with my own character!
