The reason this chapter is so late is mostly because I've been trying to figure out what to do with Luna and Fluttershy. Every time I tried to do what I had planned, it took over the chapter, threw off the timing of everything, seemed out of character, and didn't logically follow from their motivations. Then last night I had one of those facepalm moments. I was trying to shoehorn them into a portion of the story where they just didn't fit in order to wrap this arc up all nice and neat, when instead I can use them to kick off the second arc in a much more natural way and leave this chapter open to concentrate on the finale, Twilight and Celestia's confrontation. It just requires, well... rewriting everything. Again. But at least now I know where I need to take it.
