I can easily go for hours in explaining exactly why I could not write up a chapter over the past year. However, to save time and potential boredom I will simply put in terms that everyone could easily understand and relate: Shit happened. It sounds more like an excuse then an actual explanation. I have things going on just like everyone else. My responsibilities and other life priorities take up most of my time throughout the day, often to the point where I just do not want to do anything. I honestly had major plans for the story, it constantly has new and growing ideas coming up. And just like everything else in life it has its issues. In the beginning I was consitant with my writing of at least a paragraph or more a day along with editing and all that. Then everything starting falling apart as my time was ever more stretched with other things. The worst part is that I also keep coming up with new stories that seem really awesome, however I lack any incentive to write them because of how long it would take so that they do not seem like some fast pace piece of shit writing with major plot holes and spelling errors.
I just want to know exactly what people think of my work so far, it does not have to be anything flashy or extreme. Just some words telling me your opinions and or ideas.
I would like to know if anyone actually still wants me to write this story even though chapters take too long. Or if I should just end it before it becomes a complete train wreck.
NO this is one of the only good stories on this site. One of the few that doesn't take the cliche road of living in ponyville, and being super best friends with the mane six. It take the realism of traveling in an entirely different world to a whole new level. I for one say it doesn't matter how long it takes between chapters, just as long as we get one is fine by me.
Well, the story is good, but the chapter updates are far too infrequent for my tastes.
each chapter has improved somewhat, there are few stories that explore the world outside of equestria, how treatment of human celestia was quite a lot of realistic, in other stories when she holds a grudge, imprisons to or removes them
and no matter how long it takes, while signs of life, and is working on the story.
and if you decide to cancel the story would be interesting, to say what ideas I had for this story

2244125 Thank you for your words, I did try to make this story into something different from the usual work that is posted online. It might continue to take some time to finish each chapter, however that is mostly so that it does not seem like crap. I could try wiring shorter chapters, although they would seem more like incomplete parts like how the fourth chapter was split up.
2245121 The infrequent updating is one of the major issues with this story. While I really do want to write up each chapter faster, I would need to sacrifice the length of each chapter and possibly some quality. Maybe shorter chapters might allow me to make it more frequent.
2247247 Thank you, I do try to keep it alive. It takes time to put everything I had in mind for the story into something that can interesting and not too fast paced. There are many ideas for the story that involve new locations, different cultures, species, allies, enemies and secretes. So I decided to give it another go at the story to at least see how it turns out on the next chapter. If it does not work out then I will just post a final outline of the whole story with all the major details and the ending.

The problem is, one chapter every half-year isn't precisely... Fast. If the chapters were 30-50k each, I could see that type of pacing, but they ain't.
2247504 All true, as I have said/written before things keep coming up that do not allow me for much time to do anything. The writing ends up taking more time then it has any right to. So it would still take some time in between posts, however there would be less waiting if the chapters would be shorter.
I'm just going to post here and say, "please keep writing." You had an interesting perspective, as others have pointed out.
