Heart as Black as Night chapter 2

I had a lot of work this weekend, but the new chapter is about halfway done. If I don't finish it by tonight, I will work super hard tomorrow to get it up.

A Heart as Black as Night

I know I should be writing on the stories I already have posted, but this one just sort of poured out of me.
It's in the queue right now, so keep an eye out for it: A Heart as Black as Night.
It details the life and times of King Sombra before he was a king.

    Takin' a Break

I'm visiting with family right now and I don't know how much time I'll have for writing. Sorry for the delay. I'll get new chapters up as soon as I can.

    Ohmigoshohmigoshohmisgosh!

So, I was reading this really fun and fascinating article on Autostraddle.com and, aside from it being a very informative and fun article about the prevalence of mare/mare shipping in MLP:FiM fanfics, the author mentions The Prince and the Workhorse!
I am beside myself! Seriously, words fail me right now.

Rose, if you're reading this, I am humbled and honored by your recognition. Thank you : )

I have to agree with her. Prince and workhorse is one of the two or three fics I'd recommend to get people started in the fandom.

Hey, you're welcome! (yes, I'm the Rose who wrote that article)
That's seriously one of my favorite fanfics I've ever read. And I'm loving the sequel as well!

Wow, congratulations! You deserve more recognition for your masterpiece, in my opinion! :pinkiehappy:

Thank you so, so much!
The AppleDash storyline was as much if not more fun to write than the central plot, and I'm really looking forward to exploring it further :rainbowkiss::ajsmug:

I'm grateful for as much as I get  (and will always be grateful for a little more :trixieshiftright: )
This definitely gives me hope for my original fiction work.

Congrats, good sir. You deserve it.

The good fanfictions never get the recognition they deserve... It's really quite sad.

Congratulations! I hope there's even more recognition to come as your path goes on.

And Rose Darling, (144712) your article was fantastic! I loved the survey data you collected, especially. Glad to see that the fandom is in large part open-minded and tolerant. Thanks for writing!

Congrats! That's a great article to be mentioned in!

Deserved recognition is deserved. :moustache:

I honestly saw the article on Equestria Daily and saw the fanfics, noting Butterscotch (One of my favorites) was on there and ended up thinking the prince and the workhorse sounded good. As my dA account says I stayed up all night last night reading it and only gave myself an hour of sleep prep for an exam. It was too good to put down for the night. Deffinitely my new favorite clopfic.

I hope you did alright on your exam :rainbowderp:
Thanks for the plug on your page, though I think "really vulgar" might be the tiniest bit of an exaggeration :twilightblush:

Good point. And I aced the exam, so all is well. I have been reading Fallout: Equestria Project Horizons for the last couple of days and it is... well a lot more graphic than anything you wrote. In fact you never really described anything in depth, so I wasn't scarred by mental images. However Project Horizons is easily making up for that. I suggest you check it out though, it is really good.
