Hey guys, DarkShockBro here.
I'm sorry I haven't been visiting this site in a good long while, but I'm back with lots of news!
First and foremost, the first arc of the collaboration between me and Shadoroq is DONE. We've been working hard to make this story a special experience, and I think you'll enjoy our contrasting styles.
Second, we plan to upload one chapter a day. I will upload the odd numbered chapters on my account, and Shadoroq will upload the even numbered chapters on his account. After all, those are the chapters that we (mostly) wrote.
Third, since this is an original story with mostly original characters, I'd like to have an original title image. Since I can't draw to save my life, and Shadoroq is actually a pretty decent sketcher, I asked him to sketch the image. Once he, someone at my school, or someone at his school finishes the sketch, I'll start uploading the story.
Fourth, once said sketch is done, I'll upload it to my next blog and hold a contest. In essence, I just need someone to 'improve' the sketch, as it were, to make it look a bit more professional. This isn't to discourage the hard work of the original sketch, but since the title image is the first thing people look at, I want it to be appealing. And, whoever wins the contest will win an original character placed in an original, unique, and awesome part of our version of Equestria that isn't in any other fan fic.
Well, I'm glad to be back, and I'll make sure to keep you updated regarding the status of this collaboration. We've had fun making it, and once it's uploading, we hope you have fun reading it!
UPDATE: I sketched something. It's absolutely horrible, but at least I have something. I'll upload my next blog with the picture contest soon.
For some additional clarity, we're looking for an image that features several (or at least some) of the main characters; the backdrop won't be too important. If you read ShockBro's Diamond in the Rough, though, then you should be able to guess at the theme of this work, too. Think urban intrigue.
