I travel space and time, searching for perfection, for safety, and for purpose. I may never find it, and I may get lost, but the important part is the journey, not the destination. Enjoy it or remiss.

    It's Been a While

I don't think I have really touched this site in a while. I keep getting notifications for replies to my comments on mainly the Austraeoh series, but I . . . well, I still wonder about this place, about everyone still here and how everyone is doing, in their literary pursuits and their personal lives, assuming we got to know each other well enough.

    6 Years

I . . . I honestly don't have much to say for this one. There aren't very many things I can say I've done for six years. Working? Nope, I started in 2013. I played percussion for seven years. I've played on Xbox Live for seven years, almost 8. I've been on YouTube Since 2009. Meh, that's whatever, I guess.

    Power At Last!

Well, it's been an entire month without power. Somehow, someway, I have been without any connection to the outside world for that long, and it's been hard. 0/10, do not recommend. :rainbowwild:

    Foalcon Fiasco Followup

So I'm done with my commenting on the newest FiMFic Drama Showcase, and I thought I would give some after thoughts and maybe elaborate my feelings on the subject in a less emotional way. Needless to say, I have gotten a little angry with how things have progressed in terms of discussion, and I've reached my limit. I'm letting it go, but here's what I have to say on the matter to end this one for

    Little Witch Academia

I find it funny that I am making this post as I am about to watch the last two episodes of Little Witch Academia, and I still haven't watched the season finale of MLP. Don't spoil anything for me! :rainbowwild: But, yeah, I am basically ass backwards right now.

Story Recommendations #8 · 5:30am May 24th, 2014

How many actually remember when I used to do these? I barely do. It has been a long time since I have had a moments rest to be able to do something like this, and I am happy to finally have it. This might be a little large, so bare with me. Then again, the more stories there are, the better, right?

Let's get to it.

Usually, I wouldn't even dare touch a story like this. Why? Well, there is already an error in the title. That is an automatic turnoff, but I decided to weather through it because the idea was interesting. This is a small one-shot that follows Trixie as she and Twilight both cope with the (in Twilight's position) the sudden discovery that Trixie and Twilight are, in fact, sisters. It also presents an interesting dilemma that is touched on in the sequel.

Honestly, the writing itself is novice-level, but if you are fine with that, then this is a pleasing story. I enjoyed it and recommend the sequel.

I have to say, the picture is really what drew me into this story. What kept me was the shipping, which is a ship I don't generally see nor write: RariDash. I have, once, contemplated reading one, but that was the day I chose TwiDash instead. Ends up I don't really regret my choice, but this is opening some windows for me in terms of looking for other ships to read about.

The story follows Rainbow as she angrily buys tons upon tons of different things, like flowers and chocolates. Ends up that Rainbow had a fight with Rarity, and now she is moping around. What I found interesting was how well the story showed Rainbow's thoughts going from "I don't care" to "I need to apologize." The story was indeed enjoyable because of this. The writing helped out as well. It is a heartwarming story that characterizes Dash perfectly. Totally recommend it.

As with most stories that use the artist that defines the Winning Verse series, I tend to be afraid of novice writing and bad grammatical errors. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this story (thought not foreign to errors) was a great read, especially for 15k words. But what really was a surprise was how well things flowed.

This story follows Twilight as she deals with Pinkie's mailbox dilemma. It is haunted, and the stupid mailbox won't give her a letter by Rainbow Dash, who is still at the Wonderbolts Academy. First, this makes for a hilarious plot. Second, it could also be done badly. That was not the case whatsoever. In fact, this story was the fastest 15k I have ever read. The story flows so well that I could see it being a legitimate episode for the show. The characterization for Twilight and Pinkie were perfect, especially Pinkie. She wasn't obnoxious, but she still retained that joking manor we all know and love. I definitely recommend this story.

Blueshift has really been pushing out stories lately. All of them are not too bad, but I decided this was going to be the story I read by him. I knew that this was going to be a good story just by the idea of there being a Cutie Mark Inspector. The idea is ridiculous.

The story starts with Twilight holding a seminar on how to, basically, become an alicorn princess. She uses herself as an example of excellence and how to live one's life. As can be expected, this is not taken well. In a fit of rage, Twilight calls in the Cutie Mark Inspector. This is where it really kind of follows a linear comedy storyline, and it also shows some interesting flaws. First, the characterization was rather off for Twilight and Rarity. I would usually make this a fault, but the fact their characters are so off is what makes the story so funny. Now, we see as, slowly but surely, the jokes get better and better based on the ridiculousness of the situation, and that is why I am saying that things were rather linear. The story was funny, and if you want a laugh, this will do it.

Once again, I am looking into new ships. I have actually been interested in this ship for a while basically because it is a relationship of intrigue and balance. Pinkie can learn to center herself more with the more structured Twilight, but Twilight can learn to be more open and outgoing with the party pony Pinkie. Overall, the way that ship is set up makes for a great story.

This story starts with Twilight dealing with her new princess-dom. She also finds that the town ponies are, in fact, still crazy when everyone crowds around her and literally go crazy. This is where she hides in Sugar Cube Corner and then helps out Pinkie. Things ensue that I shan't spoil. What makes this story great is, like with that one story where Twilight fights a haunted mailbox, is how easy things flow. But what this story has that very few so far have had is subtlety. It is no open with very much of anything when it comes to Pinkie, but you know that she does care for Twilight quite a lot. Pinkie is also, once again, wonderfully characterized, something I have yet to get. I cannot write Pinkie. She is too hard.

This story deserves a standing ovation, really. It isn't the best, but it deserves more than it has. The writing and characterization flow together so well. I recommend this story so much.

Here goes a story that I snatched from Twilight's Library's incoming folder. I seem to find some pretty great stories in the incoming folder. I was also pleasantly happy to find a story by Metal, seeing as I randomly know him because he or she commented on one of my stories. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this story.

The story starts with Twilight thrust into a journey to the Everfree Forest where she finds some skull dude that is going to tell Twilight riddles to solve. If she succeeds, then she has the stuff to be a true princess. I had a problem, first, with how fast the story pushed the reader into the riddle part. I am a fan of In Media Res as much as the next guy, but the conversation between Celestia and Twilight was so short that it becomes meaningless. However, it improves immensely when we get to the riddle master person. The riddles were all amazing, and the ending was rather interesting as well. I think I have spoiled enough on this story.

This story is well worth the read. Give it a try.

Once again, I find gems in Twilight's Library. I don't have much to say because the story is short (and has a sequel I have yet to read), but I will do my best. This is a chilling story following Twilight held up in a hole, under the orders of Princess Celestia, to try and ride out some odd kind of pandemic where everyone is starting to disappear at random. Twilight has nothing but a computer and rations for months, along with a bed. These are her notes.

Be prepared for a crazy ending.

This is a story by a very good friend of mine, so this deserves double love. I came across this story by seeing it in the popular box, and I knew I needed to go and read it eventually. Then, when CV wanted someone to read over the sequel, I decided to finally read it.

This story is a what-if scenario where Twilight (instead of sacrificing her alicorn powers for her friends) uses the Alicorn Amulet to defeat Tirek instead of rainbow powers. What really struck me about this story was both how well it was written but how detailed it was with . . . things that happen in the story. I don't want to spoil it, but it uses the dark tag avidly. It also presents, once again, a Dissociative Identity Disorder with Twilight, and this is what really leads the story on.

Overall, it was a great story. I loved every moment of it, and you all will love the sequel.

And that's all I have for now. That clears out my first page of favourites. I'll get to the rest sometime soon. Keep on reading, everyone!

That car tho...

They are farther down in my favourites list. XP

1: Cool Trans Am.
2: no The Last Link?
3: already read half the stories. Will read the other half.

Dat shout out :yay:
Edit: I second the recommendation of End. I read that soon as it was out. A very underrated story, satisfyingly chilling.

This might be a little large, so bare with me.

Wooooooow.

I can never get my bearings right. When I try to do anything or bring anything up to bare, I always end up like a bear during illegal hunting season: barely able to live.

Imma read the shit outta these cause none of my read laters have not been updating lately so I'm bored as hell. I also think these look nice
