I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Forgotten Friendship

While we now know that this has to take place not just before Season 8 but before the events of the 2017 FiM movie, it first premiered in February of 2018, about a month before Season 8 of FiM hit the airwaves. Interestingly, the Discovery Family broadcast omitted several scenes that were later released as part of an "extended" version. As for the writer, it was none other than Nick Confalone,

    Episode Re-Review: Uncommon Bond

After the absolute disaster that was "Secrets and Pies", Season 7 really needed something to redeem it and give it the chance to go out on a high note, especially now that the big 2017 movie had come and gone, and the show's future was still uncertain. Josh Haber, after having returned to the story editor's chair and ultimately taking back the reigns fully from Joanna Lewis and Kristine Songco

    Happy Birthday, Kathleen Barr

Today is Kathleen Barr's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Trixie and Queen Chrysalis in FiM, as well a host of other one-off or otherwise minor roles. And, apparently, she was planned to be the voice of Princess Celestia originally.

    Episode Re-Review: Secrets and Pies

*Sigh*, might as well get this over with. When this episode first came out, I didn't think it would be possible for any episode to dethrone "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" for the worst episode of FiM in my book, but somehow this episode found a way to do that. It doesn't help that it had its big secret accidentally exposed early thanks to an IDW comic getting leaked ahead of time, so we

Top Ten Pegasi, Version 2 (Post Season 4) · 5:14pm May 23rd, 2014

There will not be a Version 2 of Top Ten Unicorns since there were only 2 new ones introduced, and only one had enough personality to warrant being on the list.

Now, with that being said, here's the original version of Top Ten Pegasi. Let's see what changed.

10. Fleetfoot
Why she was included: Fleetfoot had been mentioned all the way back in "Sweet and Elite" but she did not make her on-screen debut until "Rainbow Falls". She was alright I suppose. After all, the IDW comics did seem to imply she thought highly of herself, to the point where she thought The Wonderbolts would fall apart without her. But it'd be nice if her next on-screen appearance makes her a little more friendly.

9. Stellar Eclipse
Why he was included: An O.C. voiced by a child, courtesy of The Make A Wish Foundation. Stellar Eclipse is the first noticeable on-screen disabled character. And yet he recieves no special treatment throughout the episode. Everyone treats him as if he were no different from everyone else. And thankfully, the soccer moms didn't throw a hissy fit this time around. It's just too bad we probably won't see him appear on the show again.

8. Bulk Biceps a.k.a Roid Rage/Snowflake
Why he moved up: The shipping fuel between him and Fluttershy in "Rainbow Falls" and "Equestria Games" was quite nice, and compared to a lot of other jock characters, it was nice to see one who wasn't so high and mighty. He did have a few humorus moments, but he probably wasn't the best choice for the Ponyville relay team. I'm thinking he was chosen for his endurance, but we'll probably never know for certain.

7. Daring Do a.k.a A. K. Yerling
Why she was included: Despite being a bit of an a-hole in "Daring Don't" Daring Do provided us with some great scenes. Not just in terms of action, though she certainly held her own. I'm talking about her snarky little ship tease line to Ahuizotl. And if you thought that was a crack ship, that was just the tip of the iceberg.

6. Spitfire
Why she moved down: Well, I do have my theory as to why she acted the way she did in "Rainbow Falls" but it still would've been nice to see that she at least did feel bad for neglecting Soarin while he was in the hospital. I get that they were trying to show even leaders of military like groups can make mistakes, but it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth of anyone who watches "Rainbow Falls". She did make up for it by being the second key keeper, but that'll only get you so far. Hopefully she'll be a little more sympathetic and likeable in her next appearance.

5. Soarin
Why he moved up: Soarin was probably the best thing about "Rainbow Falls". He wasn't just a goofball like he was in his previous on-screen appearance. He was actually a very well rounded character, and the nicest of The Wonderbolts. But he was also pretty tough, considering he really didn't think he needed to go to the hospital despite being saved from a crash landing. Admit it, you all felt sorry for him when we learned his teammates didn't stop by to visit him. Also, it looks like Soarin has a weak spot for more than just pie.

4. Derpy
Why she stayed the same: Derpy returned to her usual cameos in Season 4, starting with "Rainbow Falls" all the way to "Twilight's Kingdom". And we couldn't be happier for it. Hopefully she'll at least be able to keep making cameos for the rest of the show's run, though it would be nice to let her speak again, just once.

3. Scootaloo
Why she stayed the same: It took 4 seasons, but the theory of Scootaloo being an orphan was finally de-constructed! Took them long enough to do so. Just like last season Scootaloo had one solo focus episode, and one with the CMC as a group. And "Twilight Time" managed to achieve the feat of putting her into an episode without Rainbow Dash appearing or being mentioned once. And she now has a high pitched squee that could probably give the old one a run for its money. Now where's that Scootaloo plushy with that built in squee?

2. Rainbow Dash
Why she stayed the same: Season 4 for Rainbow Dash was a lot like Season 2. She had three episodes, with a very mixed reputation. She was arguably better in her supporting roles, with the exception of a few times (usually from Meghan) where she came off as a bit of a jerk. She still held herself together pretty well, and her character arc is likely reached its conclusion. But there's still stuff for her to do and learn about in Season 5 and beyond.

1. Fluttershy
Why she stayed the same: If there's one thing "Rainbow Falls" got right, it was consistency with Fluttershy's character development. Something that only one of her focus episodes got right. "Filli Vanilli" almost seemed like an excuse to have Fluttershy backpedal, on top of its poor potrayal of Pinkie Pie. Luckly, the cases of backpedaling were the exception and not the rule in regards to Fluttershy's character this season. And once again we've learned that Fluttershy works best when she remembers her morals and character development, and doesn't backpedal from them. Now we just need for her to have some sort of life goal or ambition.

And there you have it.
