Morningstar chapter deux · 3:51pm May 21st, 2014
Well, it would seem that the intro to Morningstar was generally well received, thanks for reading. Also, an extra thanks to those of you who commented.
I'm already about two thousand words into chapter two, the plan is for that to be done and published as soon as possible since I don't have a bunch of school work to take up my time. Yay for that.
As stated in the author's note of chapter 1, the focus of this story isn't so much his upbringing as it is his life in early/mid season 3, so we're moving right along and towards the stuff that I highlighted in the summary. You'll find out quite a bit about what Harry's been up to since the first chapter, namely what field his studies focus on.
EDIT: Yeah, I'm a goof and I just realized that his field of study is in the description. So, there's a replacement game.
What specifically about Harry's awkwardness is it that makes the Mane Six decide that his research needs to take a backseat for a while?
Same terms as before, shoutout if you get it right.
Well having been abused I would say he has a mistrust of most adults and being eternally greatful for his new life he might be a bit of a doormat, being afraid to ruin his happiness. I would guess that unlike Twilight who had her priorities mixed due to ignorance "I used to wonder what friendship could be" he would be more like Fluttershy, avoiding what he finds potentially unpleasant.
But now that he is a young adult, and a prince, he needs to socialize properly and focus on who he is rather than who he was.
Momma's boy needs to leave the nest.
Of course I could be off. :P
Of course this being a crossover, I am mildly concerned as to his experiences in Equestria during the more tumultous events such as his aunt's return, Discord's rampage, and his mother and probably foalsitter being captured by an invading swarm.
Not to mention that there must have been a very confused owl wandering around Surrey with a letter about 10 years ago...
2143066 Ah... I'm really struggling not to play along that last train of thought, as it would spoil something.
Ehh, you'd be on the right general track if the story was going to focus more on his foalhood, but, as you said, he's a young stallion now, so he's adapted a bit. You have a general idea about it, there is some remnant of his abuse in how he interacts, but he's quite like Fluttershy. His personality is a bit... interesting, to say the least. Rather difficult to explain lol.
