Question regarding my story "Keeper of Mira Virtus"

I am stuck in a hole writing Keeper of Mira Vitrus, and I need to ask a question regarding this story. Should I have Turbo and his friends go straight to the Summer Sun Celebration, or should I add some character development with his friends, like having them go to a bar, or something, and have the Summer Sun Celebration later?

My school blocks several websites on their network, so kids can't access them, because of their explicit content, but they haven't blocked Derpibooru (Pony) OR Inkbunny (Furry) >:D So now I can officially looked at porn during school, on the school network. :D
