The Finale [Spoilers] · 4:21am May 11th, 2014
I had been spending all day thinking about this episode. Finally, around ten o' clock at night, I sat down and watched it.
As strange as it sounds, I haven't seen all the episodes of this season. In fact, I haven't seen most of them. My interest in the show sort of waned when my life went to hell for a bit. However, when I saw trailers and previews, I knew I had to watch this one. The finale itself would sell me on whether or not to watch the rest of the season.
So... what's to say? Songs were cool, but sparse as to not become redundant. Villain was nice and evil. Celestia sleeps with her crown and shoes on.
I liked it. I'm not rushing to watch the other episodes to catch up, but I will on my own time. I had this whole speech prepared, but whatever.
I'm sorry, but I'm tired. The point of this blog post is really to say that I'm going to be pushing back my May 20th deadline. To when, I don't know. It's been a long 16 hour work day to come home and start baking cakes.

Also, what was your favorite part of the episode? Mine was the first song.
Yeah, I really loved that first song. That fight scene is what drove it straight home though.
Oh, and Discord actually doing the investigation "mostly for Fluttershy".
My favorite part of the finale was easily the DBZ-esque fight scene.
Least favorite part? RIP Golden Oaks Library
To be honest, this felt more like a series finale than a season finale. At best I'd say we get one more season. (honestly typing that out makes me just as sad as thinking it.) But honestly? that fight scene? In terms of something from dragonball, it doesn't get much more intense than that.
We'll be hard pressed to find another villain that causes Twilight to clearly have intent to KILL them. Great episode, absolutely phenomenal in my opinion. If for whatever reason it ended up being the series finale, I wouldn't be too upset about it. (that said, I really hope it isn't.)
