A new story and a departure

Hello friends,

I am a big fan of Chatoyance and highly recommend anything she's written. Recently I read her Conversion Bureau story Brand New Universe Chapter 7: Mankind Triumphant. It affected me deeply. It was a significant departure from her usual style in that it did not have a happy ending for ponykind and their princesses. In fact it contained many very disturbing images more in line with the horror genre. It really bothered me and I kept thinking about it.

In parallel to this one reader commented that my stories tended to the happy-sappy (this despite my killing off a main OC in one out of two published stories!) So when deciding on a new story I was rather irresistibly drawn to Mankind Triumphant. I wanted to write a piece where good/evil reality/delusion were far more ambiguous and dependant on the reader's own PoV. So here it is. Mankind Triumphant - Relic. I have done this as a single chapter. Whether I write more will depend on the reaction I get and the interest in my developing this scenario further.

One last thought - I want to thank Chatoyance for coming up with this wonderful/terrible/frightening/liberating spin on the Conversion Bureau. It really made me think, and as a consequence I really enjoyed writing this piece.
