I wanted really, really badly to have a new chapter up tomorrow after the season finale to remind everyone that I'm still alive, but it's just not going to happen. There are too many fixes left to make to get it up to any kind of standard. This hurts, honestly. I truly, truly wanted to maintain a once-per-two-weeks pace for a while, but this chapter needs work, and it's finals season. (While I don't have finals, many of my editors do.) I also deeply wanted to put something up on the day of the finale... but... I'm going to need another couple weeks.
I'm going to reach into the scraps pile to try to get something put up in Fireside Tales. It won't have my normal level of polish, but it's a non-canon side story so I can kinda get away with it. That being said, while it's in the non-canon column because of the lack of polish, the events in general are canon. I hope to have this up on Saturday, but if I don't, it'll be within the next few days. Rarity and DI fans in particular should keep an eye out.
My new goal for the next posted Rites chapter is the 24th of May or sooner. I may or may not hit it based on both my health and my editor's availability.
Again, I'm truly, truly sorry about this. I've been trying to keep up a reasonable pace, but it just didn't happen this time. If all goes according to plan, it should be easier to maintain the pace once Block 4 starts, as if I'm right, those newer chapters need far, far less editing work. (I admit, that's a big if, but it may well work out that way.)
The scrap going up will also have some A/N that will contain a hefty helping of world building and summarized backstory.
I'll be in chat for a bit while I work on editing, though I'll likely be rather quiet as I have a lot of (ouch) typing to do tonight already.

If there is any way in Luna's Heavens that you could release it on that day, (maybe even time it so it is released while I am online) I would be so very thankful.

Don't beat yourself up over it, we may not be the most patient lot but thats because we like your work that much.
Hey its great that you try to stick to a schedule. So many authors here don't. But don't push yourself too hard or beat yourself up if you miss a "deadline." Given whats been going on with you, its understandable if things are a little (or a lot) late. Believe me, a story this good is worth the wait.
You really don't need to apologize for not upholding a deadline because of health issues and some editor issues out of your control.
A lot of stories here are updating once a year or are dropped completely, I'm happy just knowing that you still have the passion to keep on writing my favorite story!
You just focus on healing and keep on being awesome, we will manage to wait this couple of weeks
