My Little Rage Time: #*$@ing SPIKE!

I knew it was coming, I saw on the synopsis it was Spike bla bla bla at the Equestria games.

Now…as far as normal MLP stuff goes, it was okay, definitely one of if not the best Spike episodes out there and had an awesome moral anyone can relate to.

BUT PUTTING SPIKE AS THE FOCUS DURING THE EQUESTRIA GAMES WAS THE BIGGEST DICK MOVE ANY OF THE MLP WRITERS HAVE EVER DONE! That’s right, even MARE DO WELL has been outdone as the biggest knife in the back of the brony community.

The buildup of two seasons…RUINED!

The world building that could have been done as Princess Twilight got introduced to some of the lower royalty/nobility in Equestria…RUINED! Hell, one of the ponies looked like she was wearing an EASTERN HEADRESS, does that mean there might actually BE a Neighpon? (ie pony Japan)

Just what kind of sports do ponies play question…RUINED!

Hell, the only thing about the Equestria Games part of the WHOLE DAMN EPISODE that I could even get behind is the fact that Rainbow Dash is now the uncontested BEST PEGASUS in Equestria PERIOD! She started from the very back of the pack, and almost tied with Spitfire while navigating a flight course filled with twists and turns! That means it’s not just pure speed anymore, but she’s got enough skill to keep going at near mach 1 velocities while keeping herself under control.

BEST FLIER EVER!

(looks at advertisement for the season Finale and sees Twilight now has a contrail with her latest Mary Sue power up and creates a ditch in the dirt when she lands)

…damn writers. The power transfer from the other princesses better be temporary.

I kinda think it would have been better if they'd put off the whole Equestria games thing until next season and stretched it into a few episodes. They could still give Spike his episode, and have a couple other focussing on the other characters (For some reason, I come back to Rainbow running into an embittered Gilda, who's competing in another event).
