Scratching Itch (Also, Where Do You Come From?)

Wow, the votes were pretty scattered. Oh well, we had a couple come up above the rest. I have an idea that I will be working on when I can. Something quick and dirty, just for the sake of getting it out and posting something.

Have an Itch (Vote for Best Pony)

I have that niggle in the back of my brain telling me to write. However, I'd like a little warm-up exercise before jumping back into any major projects.

So, because it worked so well the last time, let's do this again. Vote for best pony! Preferably none that I have or are currently writing about.

Let me know in the comments below.

Where the Hell Have I Been!?

    Hey guys.

Unfortunately writing has been completely dormant as I've hit the insane schedule regarding three jobs that pick up when the weather is warm on top of other projects. In fact, I'm convinced that I've actually messed myself mentally through all of this.

I Vent Cause I'm Bent (Personal Drama) · 5:39pm May 1st, 2014

So the last couple of months have been interesting.

Did I say interesting? Sorry, let me start again.

So the last couple of months have been BUFFALO RANCH FUCK INSANE.

For those of you who don't know, I'm currently working two jobs. One retail and one family business job that picks up in the Spring. First thing that sucks is that it's Spring, but it hasn't gotten warmer. The other major thing is that we had an incident that really set us back. Without going into too much detail, my family works with animals. There was supposed to be a day of excitement and celebration. A birthing of a litter from someone who had grown up in our care. Who I fed everyday, made sure had fresh water, and was comfortable. Instead, a grave was made for a mother and her twelve unborn children.

Then comes the case of my stepfather. He's an awesome guy, works hard, and is pretty much the sole reason my family's business is afloat. However, he's been sick for almost the past two years. Every doctor he's been to couldn't get the right diagnosis. Apparently, not knowing what the hell is wrong with a patient doesn't stop them from prescribing things, which more often than not did more harm than good. The latest doctor took him in to cut out chunks of his deteriorated muscle, which made it hard for him to walk. The latest medicine they gave him after what they found caused him to wake in the middle of the night in extreme pain and break out in a horrible rash.

During this time, my older brother came home. He was struggling with debts he's accrued along with a drug abuse problem. Nothing hard (thank goodness), but some synthetic stuff not even he's 100% sure of what it is. We're thankful he reached out, but he got comfortable in a hurry. Wouldn't help with the family business while at the same time refusing to get a proper job. He's never held an employment position for more than six months. Proceeded to talk down to the entire family, blowing every little mistake out of proportion. Would sulk for hours about having to shave his facial hair across from the man who had recently undergone surgery. Emotionally blackmails anyone who might say he's at fault for anything. Mother actually gave me and my other sibling a deal that if he didn't move out by a certain point, we would get to take him into the field and beat the shit out of him. Bastard got out right at the buzzer, but is making constant hints and tiny pleads to move back in again.

And now the most recent case, I had walked into my retail job to start my shift. People are in tears all around. Thirty minutes prior to when I showed up, the police had come by and taken one of my coworkers to jail. This guy was awesome, probably knew every little old lady in the tri-county area due to his job, and was also the longtime boyfriend of the active manager on duty. Warrants were out for his arrest in another state for breaking parole, something I had no clue about. Five years later, squad cars pulled up to the store and took him away. Probably going to get shipped out of state for a court appearance or getting thrown back in jail.

There's been a lot more going on, too. Dentist shenanigans, more work difficulties, family emergencies, even dealing with some trolls on another account.

A freight train of shit has jumped the rails into a fan manufacturing plant and every incident is another cargo cart plowing in. So, I haven't been finding too much time to write. For those of you who stuck around and read the entire thing: May 20th. Don't you let me friggin forget.

I'm sorry you've had a bad couple of months, I hope the coming ones will be far more pleasant. Stay strong and good luck with everything.

Christ. Sounds like you're doing the best you can, but that is a lot of crap to deal with. The death of the mother and her litter in particular must've been awful.

Honestly, glad to hear your brother's off whatever he was on and back into something resembling self-sufficiency. Things don't often work out quite that well, so good on you for putting up with him, but also being firm. Don't let up. It's disappointing, but he need people like you in his life.

Well that's one conga-line of kicks to the balls after another. Yeesh indeed. :x

Just know that you have the support of your pals online (and some offline, I'm sure). The most important thing to remember is to stick it out, because right now it seems like you're one of the few holding up what you can. Keep at it man, because one day they will remember your help during such times.

Take care pal.

That is a lot of shit... Cant really give you much advice other than soldier on, and keep a smile. Never stop smiling.

Damn dude, I hope things start looking up.

Noc

Out of (morbid) curiosity, what species was the mother? For some reason, that's what hit me hardest in your list of craptacular events. Not sure what that says about my priorities … maybe the death part.
