Thanks everyone for your comments in my other post. I didn't get to reply to all of them, but I still read and appreciated every one. It really means a lot to me that you responded like that.
Aside from the problems that I mentioned in the comments, I've also got a lot of incredibly stressful stuff going on behind the scenes that has been making it difficult to write. Unfortunately, it's the kind of stuff that will never be completely resolved either. I don't really know what the future holds for me right now, but I do have hope that it will at least slacken off a bit sometime down the road.
I don't want to just quit writing, though. It's important to me. After thinking it over for a few days, considering what you guys have said in the comments, and getting advice from a friend, I think I've come to my decision. So here's the deal.
I'm taking an extended break from writing. I'd like to come back at some point, but I don't know when. I'm going to un-cancel Princesses Don't Potty and put it on hiatus instead. When I do come back, that one will be what I start with because it's smaller, easier to pick up again, and more lighthearted. I'm going to leave A Still More Glorious Dawn Awaits in canceled status because I don't know if I'll ever get back on my game enough to resurrect. That one will require a lot of re-reading and planning if I do and will be a huge commitment. I'm not ruling out the possibility of doing it, but I'm not in the position to commit to anything right now either.
In the meantime, I'll write when and if I feel like it. You might see a couple of short one-shots from me in the next few weeks or months—I've actually got some ideas in mind already—or you might not. I promise nothing, except that I'll try.
Thanks again, everyone. Have a Luna, because she's the princess of dreams, and I've still got plenty of those left.

Hey, if you need to take a break that's fine. Just don't quit on us when you're getting to the really good part of your story. We're reaching the climax and I think we all wanna see how Twilight reacts when she learns if Princesses Do Potty.

I'm going to be another echo on the broken record player here, but I feel it's worth saying. I'll be here waiting when you do feel ready to get back on your feet, and you shouldn't worry too much about anything other than what feels right to you. Take care of yourself man, but... try not to lose yourself in those dreams. As I'm like to say, "Sleep bitterly that the morning may taste sweeter".
