Trilogy in the works · 11:50pm Apr 19th, 2014
So, my first two stories, I Can Change and Parallel's Path, will now be part of a trilogy.
The third will be called Destiny of the Dark Horse.
Here's the premise (so far):
Parallel finds two ponies, named Corollary and Civility, who are a pegasus and unicorn, respectively, and have come to her world, hoping she could come with them. As it turns out, Parallel is a member of a clan of ponies known as the "Dark Horses." Corollary and Civility are the guardians of this clan, as their home world is the hub to access any and every world in existence.
After asking if she knows any other possible Dark Horses, Parallel remembers a faint image of a stallion that looks a lot like her, as well as the two guardians. They recognize who she describes as Equality, her adoptive father. They use their guardian powers to get themselves over to Equality, who they tell everything to.
The guardians tell Parallel and Equality that they must come with them to their world, called the Gateway, because Dark Horses everywhere are experiencing problems that are affecting the Gateway. Some are facing personal problems, some facing dire situations, and some questioning their existence.
Parallel and Equality are told that Dark Horses all have black coats, white manes, and pasts involving rising to excellence out of despair in some way. They are also biologically immortal, can access the Gateway at any time, can change their size and age at will, and only one can exist from each world. When a Dark Horse has died from whatever reason, a new one regenerates in its home world. This is all new to Parallel and Equality, who then each unlock their Dark Horse powers. They decide that if Dark Horses everywhere are in peril, then it's up to them, as well as the guardians, to help Dark Horses everywhere.
It's a rough premise, and this may be my longest story yet, but I'll do whatever I can to make this work.
I'm getting help from some of my friends with this one. They're submitting their own characters to me, who I use as the Dark Horses.
