I think it might be time to throw off the shackles these training wheels called fan fiction have become.
I started to get feedback on my writing, and now, it just a few days, it will be three years of writing fan fiction, I hope it is no secret, but I aim to be a writer proper. The plan was to write real fiction on the sides, with this as a main outlet for devices and pacing I would use to see how well they are received. But after three years I have nothing publishable, or even close. I am still relatively unknown, and even my best efforts do not garner as much attention as what I essentially crapped out ages ago. It is time I made much clearer and discernible steps towards my goal. I highly doubt this page will see much in the ways of fresh content, but I figure it is for the best. Since I started I have kept making excuses, I'll be ready when I hit a few hundred followers, when I finally get something featured, when I finally make something the community as a whole takes note of. I now accept that these things will never happen but I must keep trying. The alternative is no alternative at all. I refuse to live a "normal" life with a job and I may very well be incapable of doing such as being fired for the fifth time suggests.
I'll try to be around, maybe read a thing or two, but I'm quite certain my days of fan fiction are indeed as done as they've seemed for a while now. I thank you for your time, your views, your watches, and most of all your comments. I consider some of you friends even, and some have listed me as inspiration. May your futures be brighter than mine, and may you never stop dreaming.
I think I will retire this nickname soon enough, as well as this Icon. I will still lurk about, mayhaps even occasionally comment or post a thread, but My days of writing are done.

Speaking as one of those aspiring authors you inspired: you will be missed. But speaking as an older person who has seen a lot of young people struggle with finding their places in life: I think you're getting on the right path - the one that let's you find out who you are without the distortions and pressures others and you yourself have placed on you.
Don 't give up on yourself, or on anything else either. It's easy to make false generalizations. Maybe the reason that you haven't been able to hold on to a job isn't because "that's not your thing", maybe it's because you haven't found that one thing that truly ignites your passion, the thing that can make you put aside the video games, booze and all the other distractions in life.
Take a breath, and just go learn about who you are. You're young and have all the time in the world. If writing is part of it, then it will come, but if not, it's no big deal.
I hope I'll see you here again, but if not, have a good life.

Whatever you do stay safe and hope things go well, it's still an honor to be an admin of LGBT and other groups. The other Admins and I will be sure to keep them together if you plan to be away for awhile. If you ever want to chat feel free to send me a message on Skype.

I will certainly miss hearing more about Finn and Jake running around Equestria. Enjoy the bigger and better things you're going off to. Keep up the very good work.

I will say it's a shame "An Azure Future: Moving On" won't have an ending BUT the chapter where it cut off still works as a finale of sorts. That was a nice touch.
