Purpure...
Purpure was the colour of the hell that enveloped Equestria. Fire rained from the sky, and lightning arced across the ravaged ground. Everywhere ponies cried in agony as their bodies burnt and their minds were distorted. Not even the princesses had stood any chance, and there was but their jewellery left to show that they even had existed in the first place. Arcane discharges struck at random, decimating everything they hit.
The source of everything was a flailing mass enveloped in energy, writhing in pain as it destroyed its own world. It had bested the Elements of Harmony, and forced the very forces of nature to their knees. Despite this, it had yet to feel fullfillment, as it could still see the faces of those that had called it their friend.
Only two things it could focus on, two simple words; twilight and purpure. Two mundane words, meaning but worldly things. Yet, the words were the most important things to the flailing mass. It could remember the two words as names, or maybe titles. But now...
Now they simply served to describe Equestria's final death tics: a purpure twilight.
