Stories update (Oh and a rant) · 2:49am Apr 6th, 2014
Well since people are probably wondering what’s taking so long with Take Two and NAA…
For TT, I’m waiting for the S5 finale Twilight’s Kingdom (UGH! Seriously guys? It’s bad enough you‘ve turned her into such a side character after giving her wings, but if she ends up being the ONLY princess in Equestria, any hope of her getting good slice of life stories is going to be even worse than it was this season! But making her the absolute central character is even WORSE! You guys had the formula right with the outsider coming in with season one that expanded to the circle of friends in season’s 2-3 until the ending, and even THAT hasn’t managed to ruin it too much, if Twi gets actual princess duties and has to undergo major changes like a whole new place to live even if the girls go with her, it will!)
Wait, where was I? Oh yeah…
I’m waiting for the end to S4 to try and work its events into the last few chapters of Arc 1 (probably about 3) until Twilight does her Mothra-sized butterfly effect move and kicks the predestined plot to the curb.
NAA is in its final chapter and up to 18,000+ words it's more like 2 chapters put into one. In fact, I already have the ending of the story finished (sans the double epilogue that‘s basically ½ letter to Celestia). It’s the fight scene that’s slowing me down. Give it about another week, then Rainbow will have to start trying to get closer to Twi when a new love interest most of the fan community wants to use a shotgun on shows up to distract her from Princess Rainbow and…well, that’s another problem. While working on this story, I got it into my head to work on yet ANOTHER new story that I think would actually be a lot better in so many ways. But this story is so much world-building (that I’m actually taking to kind of form the basis for my other story) I’ve done to set up for it’s sequels I don’t just want to let it go…
Nightmare is just a side project that I do when I’m writer’s blocked so it will probably be awhile before I get to working on the next chapter there.
