I was browsing youtube and I found the This Day Aria - Colt and Mare Duet
And I had a Thought:
Princess Cadence is kidnapped by Queen Chrysalis so she can take Shinning Armor.
King Metamorphosis replaces Shining Armor at the same time to control the Princess of Love.
Each assumes that the other is the real pony and the efforts they make to control their counterpart is a normal action they simply didn't notice before the switch.
Flash Sentry bursts through the windows with Shinning Armor seconds after Cadence and Twilight crash the wedding.
The final reveal is rather awkward for everypony.
But perhaps the King and Queen of the rival changeling nations have found what they sought after all...
...
I need to read Romeo and Juliette, The Taming of the Shrew, and all other Shakespere. They might fit with this.
