I write the occasional pony story. What else could possibly matter?

    A Bit of Noise

Things have been quiet in my tiny corner of FIMFiction for an awfully long time, so it's nice to have an excuse to make a bit of noise. Just this morning, DRWolf posted his latest dramatic reading. It happens to be for my story "Forever

The Best Review in the History of Ever

ILoveKimPossibleAlot has devoted her latest "My Little Reviews" to "Forever Young." I think she liked it.

    I'm Floored!

    Thank you.

The reception to “Forever Young” far exceeded anything I could ever hope for. I admit it: I thought the story was pretty good, and the feedback from my pre-readers encouraged me, but no parent ever finds his own child ugly. My index finger hovered for a long, uneasy while before I gathered the courage to click “Submit.”

    Boo!

In honor of Nightmare Night, it seemed only fitting to rise from the dead, shamble over to my keyboard, and knock out "Telltales"—2,500 or so words of (I'm hoping) creepy pony fiction. My inspiration was EqD's Nightmare Night 2012 FanFic Competition, for which I thought I had a cute idea. Alas, there were more than one hundred entries, and mine did not make it into the final ten. While others

    yay

Never let it be said that I act in haste. After 36 weeks and 5 days, I'm finally taking two milestone steps: I'm choosing an avatar and making my very first blog post. Actually, the first event is the occasion for the second. (I'm just brimming with things to say.) I might still have left this blog's virginity intact, but I wanted to credit the work of deviantART's

Things have been quiet in my tiny corner of FIMFiction for an awfully long time, so it's nice to have an excuse to make a bit of noise. Just this morning, DRWolf posted his latest dramatic reading. It happens to be for my story "Forever Young". He does a bang-up job of it. Give it a listen.

Thank you kindly for the shoutout. :)

This and Keepers Of Discord are my fave Discord stories. :)

Talk about coincidence. I been wondering if you were okay. My IM program I used somehow had a virus built into it so I haven't been able to use that. Still, hope you're still working on that potentially more amazing story you can be even prouder of if you don't go pulling punches now. ;3

I love ya man, but you can and have better in the works. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! <3

But yeah, DRWolf is freaking amazing. Love his channel, glad he's been getting more love this season. And to do a Dramatic Reading of your Butterbutt and Discord story? Makes me uber happy! <3

Let's not wait till Season 6 to release another story though. :ajsmug:
I'm still always available to chat with, but I'm glad to see you're still alive so I'll forgive the lack of communication since your "I'll let you know when I have something written down" which, with you, could mean anything between then and sometime when pigs fly. :P

I swear, in another life, you just might be reborn into a Fluttershy. :yay:

Anyhow, missed you. Try to make more noise on my Skype or here or gmail! :fluttershysad:

Yeah, I'm full of good intentions that I never quite manage to act upon. One such intention involves getting in touch with you. I can make all sorts of excuses (Oh, Hell, I'll make one right here: I went off on what was supposed to be at most a two-day job and got Shanghaied into eleven days without Internet access. I only made my escape at the end of last week.), but in the final analysis, I just let myself get distracted by too many shiny things.

The hallmark of a writer is that he writes, and that is high on the list of things I have not been doing of late. My head swims with story ideas and dialogue, all of which count for precisely nothing until translated into keystrokes and word count. I'll see if I can't connect with you—probably not this week but next—for the corrective pep talk and kick in the pants I need to get moving in a straight line again.

[Have reread the above and am now asking, "Geez, what woedog wrote that?" Here's hoping life is going great guns for you and that we get a long session to swap war stories.]

1958293 I certainly do miss our hours long back and forths of ponies, music, life, and how to turn those into more pony.

At least it's good to see you're not moping around or anything, you know, being bored. So that's a happy sign.

Yes, I know the feeling. I actually kicked myself in the bum last night and wrote like 50'ish or more words to that Vinyl and Tavi story I been meaning to turn from a note into an actual two chapter story. Still jotting random ideas and concepts down on my g.drive but I think I will try to make an effort to finish these daunting 21 chapters of a story I'm still editing for someone else on their behalf due to their work schedule. I'm still grandfathered in thankfully so the effort put in hasn't been put to waste yet. And in the end he'll at least get (eventually) a fully cleaned up story he can update on his DA.

Aside from that it's been going well, just keeping myself occupied and doing my Skype groups and attending to real life needs as they come.

I have a few ideas to discuss with you as well about a seemingly dead story. A sort of workaround so you'd not need to feel stressed about it. But yeah, you have two you were keen on doing and still many more ideas floating in that head of yours. I'll go prep my best kickers for next week then.

Or my hunting gear, which ever one ends up being needed the most.
