The 8-Bit Flame Princess

The hardest thing is never to repent for someone else, it's letting people in.

I haven't blogged or written in a month and I feel awful :/

I'm still alive! And I'm sorry for not writing for a while :twilightblush: I haven't been inspired to write pony for aaaaages, and I have a big project in another fandom I'm working on at the moment, plus several smaller things. But never fear, for I have a lot of ideas now, and there's a RariTwi contest coming up soon in the group, so I hopefully will get to enter that!

Working on some new oneshots *party poppers*

So I've been trying to work on some slice-of-life/sad stuff to expand my pony writing lately, so as soon as next week (if we get lucky), I may have a new oneshot out. On what you may ask?

I Reckon I Owe You Guys An Apology

I'm sorry for not updating and for being so absent for so long. I PROMISE that a new chapter of A Whole New World will be coming sometime in the next few weeks, but I have a lot on my plate at the moment (school starts tomorrow) and I have a lot of other writing commitments to do (a ship weeks thing on Tumblr and a birthday present for a friend), and to be honest I just won't have the time to

Why I Haven't Been Updating Lately

Just a quick reminder that I am, in fact, still alive and working on stuff! However, I was hit with a really crippling bout of writer's block that took a toll on me and lowered my self esteem, so I didn't really feel like writing ponywords at the time. But now I'm back, baby!

So. You all should be following me on Tumblr, because I am gold. Go. Please? I'll most likely follow you back!

    And that's pretty much it.

Recommendations of the week: Volume 1 · 6:59pm Mar 7th, 2014

So I thought I'd try out a new thing and recommend to you guys some good or even great stories that I've read recently this week, and I'll post four recommendations every Friday, and hopefully spread the word about some talented writers and stories that maybe you guys weren't aware about!

Golden Harvest farms carrots, is incredibly devoted to her husband, and lives in bubbles.
Written Script writes and travels far too often, but is charismatic and well-liked.
Derpy likes muffins and is legally unfit to take care of her foal.
And then there's Dinky, who (legally) belongs to Golden Harvest and (legally) must visit her mother once a month.
Life is incredibly complex, but it's also profoundly simple.

She waited for Rarity’s face to bloom into softness, the way it always did when Rainbow made some big romantic gesture like this. Rarity’s face stayed impassive. But she smiled. It was a smile that was reserved and slightly tired—barely genuine. The warmth in it was quiet, self-contained.
And that’s when Rainbow’s entire world came crashing down.
She did not need her any longer.

Thanks to Pinkie and Cheese's help, Rainbow Dash enjoyed the best birthaversary ever. But unfortunately, not even she can party forever, and sleep calls her. Except that after a few rounds of cider, she isn't exactly fit for flying back home.
Luckily, Pinkie has her covered the only way a good friend knows how.

All Applejack wanted was to complete her chores so she could help Rarity and the girls with the Ponyville Days Festival. Maybe even get a little bit of advertisement for Sweet Apple Acres. Unfortunately, anything that involves Rarity will most likely include drama. Applejack soon finds herself hiding from a stalker, traveling writer with an obsessed crush on her and a jealous friend with a stereotypical view of her country life. At the same time, she has to try and keep her relationship with a certain rainbow haired pegasus a secret.
She should have stayed in the chicken coop.

So, that's it for this week. I hope you guys enjoy these and share your love for them with the writer :D
