Putting some things on Pause - Down Winding Paths and Fillies on a Mission

I'm tagging the CMC story because it has a lot more readers compared to Down Winding Paths. But this has to do with both of them and the disturbing (to some I'm sure) 'hiatus' status.

I'm sure you've noticed the slow (almost lack) of updates; this is because of several things, in real life and as a writer. So first off, I'm a troop leader in Girl Scouts as well as present three different after school programs at three different schools on different days and it's the middle of Cookie Season (booths, sales, fundraising, deposits, who's sold what, all that jazz). Girl Scouts is huge part of my life now, so it takes up a large chunk of my mind and time. Another thing is my work; while I work in retail (meaning I have weird schedules), I'm changing positions from being a regular ol' cashier to a floor associate, meaning less time to just write chapters while at work (horrible, I know, but it was getting really really boring just being a cashier). AND my hours are picking up, meaning less time to just sit down and write stories purely.

Those are just the real life issues, there are some things as a writer I'm having trouble with. Five stories, five open not even half-way done stories. Can't focus on all of them properly and it's jarring and slightly stressful knowing that I have to be fair to all of them. Another thing is that I seem to excel at slice of life stories, my romance SoL stories being the most popular and well liked (as well as written); the CMC and Down Winding Paths stories are either shifting into more adventure or are just pure adventure stories, something I have little experience writing and therefore takes more concentration to do.

That does not mean I won't be doing any adventure stories, just that I need to be able to focus on them properly without a ton of other stories trying to come out as well. Believe me, I have a lot of ideas, they are not going to be cancelled; that and I hate the idea of cancelling stories, so I'm not doing that. Just putting them on pause so I can focus properly.

Believe me, I'm not going anywhere and neither are my stories; these two are just being put on pause for now. Thanks for all the likes, favs and comments on them and hopefully I get the others finished soon so I can come back to them.
