I saw that and thought it was very cool. I sent him my tiny epistolary Luna, just so he'd have something to enjoy, even though it doesn't meet the contest requirements.
Which, for the kids at home, are 2000+ words of new story written for this contest. There might also be a couple others. Oh, yeah, like using Luna.
This came a bit too late for me. While I would love to write something focused on Luna for this contest I can't create a new story in a week. Specially when I'm intent on taking part in the EQD training grounds and I'm putting the finishing touches on another fic for a contest with the same deadline.
I did send one of my previous stories, though; I do think it passes all the criteria, even though the main character is Discord.
I actually had a story in mind, TORN FROM THE PAGES OF THE ANGLO - SAXON CHRONICLE after I'd finished the sports section and the comics*.
But I'm AFK (dogsledding)** until March. I can work on it then, if that's OK...?
*Lasagne hadn't been invented yet but Garfield still hated Mondays.
**That is not some hip Millennial euphemism: I will be on an actual sled actually being pulled by dogs, poor things ("LOOK GUYS I'M ON ATKINS IT JUST TAKES AWHILE TO WORK OK?").

I'm a disgusting lurker, who hasn't been reading yet as of '14. I even did read his post and was looking forward to what was posted and thought of entering myself.
Get some last minute love to Augie. Surely the same people & quality that goes into weekend /fic/ offs could not be harnessed for this.
Also some pun about my hope to see a dark horse come through and win the contest. That's word play in at least 4 ways I can think of.

Yeah but you can drive up to Maine and go sledding with Mahoosuc Guide Services. Look 'em up, they're a good outfit. They do local trips of all lengths from half - day to five-day. I did a three - day trip three years ago and liked it so much I'm back for five days cabin to cabin. And they do have Alaska and Quebec trips for the whole Jack London experience. :-)
