    Apologies.

So yeah... sorry to all my followers and the people who favorited the first chapter of "She Who Would Be Queen" (SWWBQ). I know that you all really would like to have me put out new content and writing, but life's been... tough? I'm not even sure how to describe things. Even when I have the free time to write, I'm just not in the right place emotionally to write for the stories I've started.

Is Writing a True Form of Art?

The question is somewhat rhetorical. I mean, of course writing can be art, right? That's something I think we can all reasonably agree on. We wouldn't be on this website if we didn't enjoy a well-written story from time to time, but isn't art supposed to allow for flaws and imperfections? Some art is almost completely defined by what some might label as errors, but writing can be nearly

    I'M NOTHING BUT LIES!

Well, it turns out my last blog post was incredibly inaccurate. Who knew that being deployed in the desert, working 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day would put such a huge damper on any progress I'd hope to make writing stories? I've been using most of what free time I do have to tend to other, more needy and pressing hobbies, but I have been working diligently on my rewrites for Snowflake the

Any of you following me may have started having doubts. Did I leave the fandom? Did I quit writing? Was I even alive? Well, here's your answers...

    HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!

Game references FTW! So... I'm taking a short break from SWWBQ to write a seasonally inspired fic called Snowflake the Snowpony. Yes, it will be cheesy, and yes, it will probably follow an expected pattern, but I can't shake the idea from my head ever since I thought of it tonight. Seriously, I wrote over 2.5k words in about 4 hours working on this thing. The description is up on my

Yes, I'm Still Around. · 2:35am Feb 18th, 2014

Any of you following me may have started having doubts. Did I leave the fandom? Did I quit writing? Was I even alive? Well, here's your answers...

First off, my top priority is getting Snowflake The Snowpony completed. The 3 published chapters have some rewrites that will be uploaded in the next few days and the 4th chapter should follow within a week after that. I'll post when the revised chapters are uploaded. It's taken far longer than I've wanted to complete this story, and there's several reasons for that, but writer's block hasn't really been one of them... not in the traditional sense, anyway. I know what I wanted to happen, but I couldn't get it to sound right. I've also been struggling with having the time, energy, and motivation to actually sit down and write it. Factor that in with all my other projects, attending conventions, visiting friends and family, regular Air Force stuff, and preparing for my deployment... you get the picture.

Oh, by the way: I'm deployed in the Middle East right now. Yeah... ANYWAYS!

My next priority is to finish She Who Would Be Queen, which is a partially completed story I have on my Google Drive. I hit a bit of writer's block on that one, but figured out what approach I want to take with it a long time ago. See previously stated reasons above for why this isn't done. Expect that one sometime in March.

FINALLY... the one you've all been waiting for! Yep, Burden of Truth! Well, maybe not so much. I know a few individuals who've been dying for me to start this story for a good long while, but that's just because they've been the ones I've bounced ideas off of and told pretty much every detail of the story. It will be of novel length and I expect it to break the 100k words mark with no problem. It has the cliche griffons vs ponies war thing, but I take my own unique spin on it. If you've read my first fic, When Night and Day Collide, you're already familiar with Truth Seeker. This story takes place about a decade later and has him as the protagonist.

At some point during that story, I plan on writing a short side story called The Light of Midnight, which will be taking place alongside one of the main events of the novel. I also will probably take a day to look over my first fic and try to revise a few parts to flow better because I feel I've become a better writer since I first typed it. I'll post a blog when that happens.

I truly am grateful for each and every one of you, and I'm deeply sorry you followed me only to not be gifted with any new content worth mentioning. I promise you, I'll have new stories for you to enjoy shortly.
