So I've been in a roleplay on another site for a few months. And according to many extremely mean tumblr posts by some of the other roleplayers, I suck at roleplaying. They're contemplating moving the roleplay to a different site. I really hope they do, because the only thing keeping me there is guilt that I signed up for a roleplay I'm not good enough for.
I don't know if I'm any good at roleplaying. I don't know if what they said is true or not. I've been crying ever since I read those posts. I just need some comfort.
They've roleplayed together for years and this is my first one with them. They take it pretty seriously.
Let me just say this as a member of the RP you're mentioning: I never had anything to do with the comments, nor do I know why they posted them. But the important thing is that you have two really important supporters on there, and just know that we aren't moving it because of you. There were some other issues because of one of the members just tiring of the way the website was run in general. People can be mean online, but don't let it get to you. If anything, that's why I don't have a social media. People wouldn't have the guts to say those things to you in the real world, so that's why they do it on there. Just know that I support you, and that I think you are a good roleplayer. Heck, you kept the thing running during its moments of hiatus, and that's what really matters: that you came through and did what no one else could.
And let me just say: it was my fault as mod for not having a social media so I could monitor these things. I just didn't think I needed to! I wish I would've been able to help you out more, but just know that none of this was your fault and that I'll continue to support you in what you do.
And plus, you gave me the only fanart I've ever gotten when you were an RPer on there. As an aspiring author, that means more to me than anything else. I'll never forget it.
