Rewatching the Hearts and Hooves Day episode, I was struck by the opening. Children in school, no snow on the ground... clearly post Winter Wrap-Up and pre- summer vacation. I dare say, ponies are wise enough to have their romantic holiday in the spring!

I feel like I should say something profound about love... about how it is the strongest and purest form of friendship, or maybe about the difficulties and power of finding it in the wasteland. But I don't think I can say anything that you haven't already heard (or, if you are fortunate, felt yourself). And it is difficult enough to find in the real world. But while not all of us are blessed with being part of a romantic relationship with a "special somepony", we should all feel the magic of friendship. It is, after all, what brings us here.
It's been a couple months (and the addition of a few hundred followers) since I expressed my love and thanks to all of you. I'd say it's past time I do so again. So this is going out to all of you who took the time to read my story and enjoy it, those who have made Fallout: Equestria one of your favorites, who have left me comments... and even more, to all those who have gone on to create art, stories, music and more inspired by my story. This is for all of those who have made the Fallout: Equestria fandom such a wonderful community. (And, for the requisite moment of sappiness, I have to say that the little hearts here are wholly insufficient, but the hearts I would want to give you could not fit on the internet. And would also require a lot of ribbons, lace and glitter. 
)
From the bottom of my own heart, thank you. I love you all.
Whether you're with your special someone, family, local friends... or just here with us, I hope you feel love today, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I couldn't agree more on spring making more sense. We take Fall Break before the truly beautiful part of Fall begins, and it would be so much better to have Valentines day in the spring.
Personally, I think the early part of mid April is the most beautiful time of Spring, and the year: that would be the ideal for me.

You keep thanking us Kkat, but honestly shouldn't we be thanking you? Not only did you bring such a great story into the world, but you continue to do cool stuff for us like running the tabletop game. And you introduced us all to each other no matter how indirectly, not to mention a lot of people joined the fandom because of your story.

Honestly, Khat, you're one of the reasons I really got into the fandom as I have. I did glance at Equestria Daily now and again in the days of yore, then I found your astounding fanfic. While I didn't know much about Fallout other then a rather basic synopsis, your work was something I just found jaw-droppingly well written and something that just put the occasional tear to my eye. And I found myself curious if there was more stuff as exceptional as yours, and I've been an avid reader of pony fiction ever since.
So I want to thank you for that, and wish you a slightly belated happy Valentine's day as well! With all the awesome stuff you show us, like that awesome statue piece, you certainly deserve it!
Thank you. *glomps back* I'm new to the story and the fandom in general (the story I started looking into after hearing about it on the Crepuscular Bronies Discuss podcast, the fandom I really got into last year after MMC, although I'd been a minor watcher for about a year before that), and I've only just decided I was going to restart again with the audiobook to pass some time at work and to maybe do a review, eventually, for a subscriber special for my analysis channel, but it's great to know that even new fans like me are appreciated.
