    Mission Accomplished

I'm in the apartment and making more than enough to pay for it. About. Damn. Time.

Working on getting internet set up, but all in all, I'm set. A huge thanks to all those who helped me out over the past eight or so months. I owe you guys everything.

    Recent Events

The past few weeks have been interesting to say the least.

So as I mentioned in the last blog post, for a while there, Babies 'R' Us was fucking me over on hours. This resulted in a paycheck where I was a full 180 dollars short to pay rent, let alone any other bills. I had to scramble to get help and I ended up royally pissing off the person renting me the room.

    An Interesting Turn of Events

So, I'm still in that room-for-rent with the crazy roommates because I need to save up more money before I can leave. For once, the serious life-altering issue happened not to me, but to the one other roommate that has a job and makes money: he got laid off. This means it's increasingly likely, given the fact that they are, to begin with, a month late on their rent, going to be evicted soon, and

    Back into the Fire

    Yet another personal blog.

So some of you will remember that I moved into a room-for-rent at a local house near my two jobs.

So far, my stay here has been an utter train wreck.

    Lucky

Lucky is what I've been lately. It's fitting MidnightDancer always used Caramel to represent me in her stories, as I've been on a real lucky streak lately.

Carousel of Shit Update · 11:13pm Feb 10th, 2014

If you haven't read this blog yet, do so now.

So, after the issue last night with my step-grandmother and how "if you don't respect me, I won't respect you" and my tiny little quip at her, I attracted the wrath of my entire family. Today I went out and got me some groceries; ibuprofen, shampoo, deodorant, water bottles and lunches for work, and a few snacks, all totaling around $18 USD due to coupons and a rewards program. When I got home, my step-mother yelled at me for spending money and not giving it to them for rent. Also she yelled at me for not asking to do chores in the house, and for not, in her words, "eating her [my step-grandmother's] shit." If I even so much as say a single word to my step-grandmother, she will evict me from the house and not let me take my stuff with me. On top of that, evidently I am a "lazy ass motherfucker", and I "will not get anywhere unless I join the military, let them put me underground and make me feel like a tiny molecule of shit (even though I already do) and then finally they can try to build you into a reasonable human being."

They suggested that they might force me to pay $100 every time I walk in the door, and if I can't pay it (which I can't) they'll force me to sleep in my truck... without my stuff. They're going to remove the mini-fridge from my room because I am only to eat their food and am not allowed to get my own while I live here.

I am basically dealing with some seriously stressful shit all over me buying my own food and hygenic supplies and making a small quip after my step-grandmother instigated a lot of crap last night. Oh, and one last thing, if I am, in any way, "disrespectful" to my step-grandmother (which at this point may even include saying something as simple as "excuse me" to her), then my step-grandfather will put me in the hospital, and "that isn't a threat... that's a promise."

I love my life. It is the greatest.

Leave. Do not go back to that household. Do not. If they treat you like that, they sure as hell won't stop now. It doesn't matter that they have a house that you can sleep in: it's better to feel like shit than to be treated like shit. Do NOT let them do this to you. It doesn't matter whether or not you sleep in your truck, trust me it's better than being with them. I now it sounds crazy, but pride is a strong thing, and any man without a bit of pride will fall eventually. You still have that pride. Don't let it fail now.

On a side note, even if they evict you without your stuff, can't you put in a claim against them that they stole it?

So long as he kept financial records, he sure as hell could. The problem is affording a lawyer good enough to take the case.

I feel for you, Eric, seriously. No one should ever have to go through this, and now, it seems like too many people are. What the fuck is up with people? Does winter just piss them off? What happened to caring about your kids and handling things reasonably?

Seriously, if I had an extra five grand, I'd set you up with a one-way ticket to Victoria and enough money to live in one of the appartments here. I know about a door-to-door sales group full of seriously amazing people, and I think you could do a right fine job in that. Plus, it's selling Telus products, and honestly? Telus products practically sell themselves.

How much would it be to fly out from where you are to Canada?

1820589 You are a freaking lovely person, and you're already doing more than I can at this moment. I hope you live a long, good life.

Take what you can carry, shit on their couch, and leave. If they kick you out you might not even get that much, and it sounds like that could come any day.

1820589
Anything would be preferable to this, though I'd miss Texas mighty fierce.

1820618

Doesn't matter, I'm surprised you don't hate it already. It'd be a huge investment on my part, though, but if everybody chipped in... well, getting you out of the US at least wouldn't be too hard. Know any airports nearby, and any prices with getting out here? Or heading out to Midnight's or Sunder's? Anywhere, man. Anywhere would be better than where you are now. Even truckin' it across the US, doing odd jobs for cash, it's better than a house where everyone living in it is a caustic dickhead.

1820610

I promise a lotta things, but I'm here for my friends. If everyone chips in, it wouldn't be too hard for Eric to get out to Canada, and I can put in a reference for him with the crowd I know. Plus, there's a lot of general jobs available around here, and lots of stable living.

Can't really offer him a bed at my place, since my parents are already spending enough to support me and my brother, but I'll see if I can't do something. Hell, Canada's winters may be rough, but at least he'd have a roof for his truck.

1820627
There's no way in hell that could work. I can't just up and move from America to Canada. I'd have to get a visa, gas to drive up there (I'm not leaving my truck), registration and what not for my vehicle in Canada, food and water for the trip, then when I get there i have to find a job and what not. I mean, I could manage a move to like Oklahoma City or Austin, TX, but I can't manage anything international.

Thanks for the offer though, it really helps a lot. What I need to find is a person in Texas I could lodge with.

1820627 I can't say much about this, but you just about moved my small heart. I'm sad that there isn't more people like you out in the world. Currently, the East Coast isn't too good to people these days, but if I had a chance, I'd try to help. Perhaps if Eric could set up a receive address or a paypal, we could send him money to move or at least get away from his parents.

You've earned a follower by the way.

I hope Eric can catch a break- and soon. Good luck out there, Eric.

1820636

Shit. I've gotta help somehow, damn it. Is there literally anywhere nearby that you could live in besides your parents' house?

1820643

By God, he better. These aren't conditions a person should be living in.

1820682
No friends so far. I'm reaching out to some as we speak.

If you open a paypal, maybe we can give you enough money to stay in a cheap hotel for a week or something until you can find somewhere to go.

I've got a spare top bunk for you, even...
But you'd have to get all the way up here, and my parents probably wouldn't be too fond of the idea anyway.
Sucks, man. Wish I could help.

1820834
In time, I may do that, but for now I have time. Even if the situation sucks, I can mostly avoid my parents and family and shelter in my room until move out day.

1820863
If only. Why do I have so many Canadian friends?

Dude, I'm gonna start saving money to get you a ticket over here. You best save up a little fund to last you in terms of in between expenses (gas, some money to stay a night in a place somewhere while I get my dad to give you a job), but I'm gonna fucking do it

you think I'm kidding too :trixieshiftright:

1821196
Implying I'd even WANT to go to Hawaii. However, in a future situation that money you want to save up might prove useful.

Ну... пиздетц блядь...

This is sickening. They should have feckin' put the downpayment on an apartment way back when, and this all might have been avoided. And what really makes my jaw hit the goddamned floor is the fact that the grandmother is instigating so much of the stuff... I mean, half the time, the grandparents are the ones that show more affection than the parents. Hell, 70-year-old Natasha in Russia was nicer to me than my own mother was on most days. She called me her "American son," and keep in mind we're talking about a Soviet-Union-hardened woman who lived through the siege of Leningrad. She has a frigging heart of gold. But your grandmother really seems to be smashing the paradigm into a bunch of irreparable pieces.

You let me know the minute you get a paypal set up. Or whatever other method comes together. I feel I should send something your way.

1822088 hey, Hawaii...
has got me... :applejackunsure:

1822473
... and you hate it there.

1822122
Thank you. You're absolutely right.

1820714

Hope you find 'em, and I hope they take you in. God knows you can hold up rent with them after all.

Hell, they might even let you get away with the one job you have. Hopefully...

1822643 Hey, I've lived here all my life, and had to grow up here :trixieshiftleft: the school system is shit, and I've got wonderlust
try it out bro, it's still a beautiful place, and I'm sure at least SOMEWHAT better than texas

Dude, have you tried contacting the local DHS office and police? They can't just withhold your stuff like that legally.
