My Thoughts On Hallmark Awareness Day · 10:18pm Feb 10th, 2014
Or Valentine's Day, or Hearts and Hooves Day, or whatever you wanna call it.
I hate this holiday.
Well, I guess I don't hate it, per say, but....here, lemme explain what I mean.
Ever since fourth grade, I've suffered from low self-esteem. Not to mention recently I picked up a case of acne. Fabulous. So, I'm not the prettiest. Not the kind of girl you'd go for if one of my classmates was in the room.
February 14th is the yearly reminder that I'm not pretty, and I can look forward to the single life for a while yet.
I f*cking get it, world.
P.S: I'm not asking for pity. Just kinda venting.
^Even though I'm not an AppleDasher.
^I feel ya, Spike.
People are asses, anyways. Think of it more as a blessing rather than a curse.
Uhn...*Scratches head* Don't self deprecate yourself. That's not the way you're gonna get over with your low self-esteem. A simple way of fixing it is to wake up and look at yourself with a great smile. Don't let people's opinion change you. 'Steel, your hair is horrible today.' *Gives a double thumbs-up* I don't give a damn. I've grown happy with it those last years. The acne problem can't change you. What is worth of a person is their heart, not their looks (That's my way of thinking). I've passed through this before. Having days that I haven't got the courage to go to school. I ain't the teenager Brad Pitt. But I'm happy the way I am.
P.S I wasn't pitying you. Just trying to help someone to overcome their problems.
I know that feeling... to avoid it though I've always just called myself ugly, ah embraced it. i just started accepting that fact because whether i am or not theirs always gonna be someone who will say it and make fun of me for it, and they have, more times then i can count, so... i said it before they could didn't give them the chance i embraced who i was looks in all, and it feels good.
but if you want to talk, or more to vent or just someone who will listen. you can PM if you want, i'm more then happy to help.
I feel you star, I have never been a big fan of it especially because my friends act like they all need to play wingman and I end up punching one of them for being the living manifestation of the word annoying. Like jeez guys we are fourteen, none of your stupid relationships mean anything at the moment.
I know how you feel...
Valentine's Day, also known as Single Awareness Day.
