I've wanted to do something for charity for a long time with the audience we have here, but I never really got around to it before. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Michael Morones, an 11 year old boy who, whatever the circumstances, tried to take his own life. I'm sure that whatever your opinions are on that event, we can all agree that an 11 year old child feeling like they have to try and kill themselves is very sad. Thus, I've decided I want to run a charity event for Kidscape who are an anti-bullying charity here in the UK. I'm sure we can pull together here and raise a nice bit of money for them to try and prevent things like this happening again. I might see about setting up donations for an American charity too, if you're not willing to donate for a UK cause specifically.
On Saturday the 8th of February, Poultron and I will be hosting a livestream with various events between 8pm GMT (12pm PST, 3pm EST) and 4am GMT (8pm PST, 11pm EST) in aid of raising some money for this charity.
I will personally be matching all donations up to $500 for this cause. We should have a schedule finished fairly soon, but here are some of the things you can expect over the course of the evening:
Blueshift Story Reading - Former Fimfic mod and fellow brit, Blueshift, is writing a story which he will read live on the stream.
Griffin & Jenny - The duo that make up SherclopPones who produce the Friendship is Witchcraft series will be joining us for a short while to answer some questions and talk a little about the writing that goes into their well revered series.
MicTheMicrophone Reading - Mic has kindly agreed to join us to read an undetermined story right now
knighty "reads and drives" - Because I have to do something with Euro Truck Simulator 2. It's all I can do! I have no idea what's going to happen here but I'm going to try and read something (probably determined by poll or donation incentive) while driving a truck around Europe....definitely DO try this at home!
Fimfic Q&A - We'll take a very short time to just answer some questions about Fimfiction and the future where I won't be able to ignore questions!
More Fanfic Readings - I have a whole list of potential fanfics we'll try to get the authors to read on the night. Again, this should be finalised when I put the schedule out. (We may have some fantastic fan voice actors for the dialogue too!)
Gaming - We are looking at doing something like a session with a couple of viewers in something like Left 4 Dead
Cards Against Humanity - I really want to do this because it's guaranteed fun but....I would like to keep the stream clean... EDIT: Poultron here. We are almost certainly going to do CAH! Rejoice!
Art Streams - Currently undetermined who we'll have for this, but I hope to get some time with live drawing requests! We have a couple of great artists potentially lined up
There are several more guests we hope to have to that are not determined right now but hopefully will be when I have finished the final schedule. I'm putting this out before then because I'd like to hear from you guys on what you would like to see. Is there anything cool we could do that we haven't thought of? I want to keep the stream fun and entertaining and minimise empty space, so the more content we can pack in the better! We should have some prizes for random donors too to incentivize things a bit!
More importantly, make note of the date and time and tell anyone who might be interested so we can raise as much money as possible and maybe we can make these a regular thing.
POULTRONIC EDIT: I am going to be personally reading some of my favorite fanfics on the stream. Don't worry, they will be entertaining. We are also totally open to suggestions as to what we should read on the stream!

I'm so sad that this happened to a Brony, even after this fandom assured that you are sure to be accepted in this fanbase. I cried so hard when I heard this, and now it's spread everywhere. I'll try whatever I can to donate, and God help Micheal, and I'm praying for him every night. I hate cyber bullies, and all bullies alike. God bless that he's still alive.

Welp, being a child myself and having just started a means of acquiring a paycheck, this seems like a perfect way to start spending it.
I've been looking for a means of giving back to you guys, and while this money won't go directly to you, a charity for bullying prevention seems like a worthy cause.
I look forward to the livestream, and if I have the money to spare, it will be a perfect trade-off.
