Small Hiatus for the Heartbreaker and the Cultivator · 6:52pm Jan 20th, 2014

This is probably long overdue but as many you have seen, I've taken a bit of a break from posting the next chapter. After some deliberating with editor and others, I chose to scrap the chapter I had written, chapter 16. This decision wasn't a light one, it took a lot of talking and brainstorming with my editor and others in order to reach it. The decision was not based on the content of the chapter but more of the direction of the story as a whole, which this next chapter would have solidified had I chose to post it. After a bit of an eye-opening comment from my editor and discussion with others, I had come to realize I had almost inadvertently chosen to ruin the story with the path I had originally thought. However, changing the direction of the story also meant thinking of an alternate direction and developing it so that I have long term goal set which in turn gives me something to write towards with the future chapters of the story (without a properly developed direction, not only could I have written myself into a corner but I might also degrade the story's overall quality with random, inconsequential events). So I took a rather short hiatus, about two weeks now, to map out the story's final stretch. After receiving suggestions from my editors, taking them into consideration and bouncing ideas around with others (they would like to remain anonymous), I believe I have reached a direction and ending that does the story thus far justice.

However, this new direction, as I said in the beginning of this blog post, this new direction required me to scrap the chapter I had written. I currently am rewritting the chapter to better suit the new direction, so I must again ask you all to please be patient. I know that you have been waiting very long for the new chapter but I also know that you would rather have a good, well thought out story then a rushed mess. I do promise that this new direction should not disappoint as it gets back to the roots of the story before the Chrysalis arc. Thank you for reading and thank you for your patience.
