Off to a bad start... · 7:48am Jan 7th, 2014
Well everypony...I'm sure can say that 2014 is stating off so well me...or anypony else. Most of my closest friends are having troubles of there own. Some are sick and tired, some are dealing emotional problems, and there are a few that I really haven't heard from and I worry for them.
As for me...I truly don't know how describe my problem. First off, I need to take care of my ill mother, who I care for so very much. Second is...the dark whispers. As I'm writing this there sating far away from me so they can't be heard. But when I'm all alone and try to slumber they come back and say such awful things to me. Such as how futile my efforts are to help anypony out with there problems. Or that everpony is laughing behind my back and are planning to betray me terrible. Probably the worst is that my dreams will never become reality...*sigh* I know I shouldn't dwell on such things or they will take root in my soul...but it is nice to know that I have friends that truly care for me...I love all of you so very much...you all put a smile on my face when I'm feeling down. Thank you all for making me so very happy.

In any case give it some time. Overall I don't think the new years been too bad (hell its barely begun). I think a lot of these problems are due to the fact its winter and if its been the same everywhere else like its been here. Its been particularly cold and cloudy one.
Having to stay indoors and and a lack of sunlight often leads to depression in people (This is why Sweden and Alaska have such high suicide rates during this time of year).
In any case if this is the worst we're dealing with I think things will be alright after all sickness, depression, and the rest will all pass in time, and hopefully they will subside once spring comes.
As for the friends you haven't seen maybe there busy, or on vacation (maybe some place warm), or are taking a break. I wouldn't worry about them for all we know there better off then the rest of us.
In any case its a pity we're not friends in real life or I'd suggest we go and do something winter related. I wonder if sledding would still be as fun as it was growing up.
In any case the years barely a week old (and not even that) so I think its too early to be drawing conclusions about the year.
