Ice Bucket Challenge and... what the hell, AMA too.

Hello faithful followers! I was nominated to partake in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, so I finally go around to doing it. I had planned out how I wanted to talk and everything, but I have the most intense stage-fright, so I do horrible when everybody's attention is on me. Either way, I hope you guys enjoy the video.

    This Past Weekend

Holy hell, the last couple of days have been SO busy. So, as this blog title suggests, I'm pretty much gonna ramble about my weekend a bit. Sunday (and into Monday) I had my high school graduation and senior all night party. The graduation ceremony that was on Sunday morning was extremely boring and long, but I'm happy that it's finally over! Graduated with high honors at the the

    A Year Already?

That's right fillies and gentlecolts, I joined this site one whole year ago, just two months after I became a brony. Now, a whole ton of stuff has happened in that year, and I just thought I'd run through a couple of those things:

    An update of sorts...

Over the past couple of weeks, the health of one of my cats has been in rapid decline. She started losing weight until she wasn't much more than just skin and bones. She began moving less and less as well, not moving under her own power at all from Friday until today. She hadn't eaten or drank since then either. We were going to take her to the vet to be put down, but it was too late on

An update of sorts... · 1:56am Dec 31st, 2013

Over the past couple of weeks, the health of one of my cats has been in rapid decline. She started losing weight until she wasn't much more than just skin and bones. She began moving less and less as well, not moving under her own power at all from Friday until today. She hadn't eaten or drank since then either. We were going to take her to the vet to be put down, but it was too late on Friday and they were closed over the weekend, so we decided to take her after work today. My parents leave for work at 7 or 8, and I leave at about 10:30. I was the last to see my cat breathing. I was the last to hear her meow. I was the last to pet her warm fur. I was the last voice she heard. She died, curled in a blanket on the couch, before my dad got off of work. She died alone, which is the one thing I didn't want to happen.

She was a small calico cat, about 9 or 10 pounds when she was healthy. We got her and her brother (who remains healthy) when I was a year old, and they were about 6 months old at that time. She lived a good, long life. She was nearly 18 years old, and her loss strikes my family hard, for she was like another child to my parents. She was always my dad's cat. She would spend the nights curled up in his lap, because he never got up from the couch. She will be missed.

Its always hard to lose a pet, we had a brown King Charles Spaniel that we got when i was 1. He was a a big softie, whenever one of us was sad or sick, he wouldn't leave our side. Whenever her was around children, he acted really fatherly, telling them off when they did something bad, snuggling up to them and licking them when they were upset. When he was aged 11, he got a disease, i cant remember what it was but he got really thin and bony, couldn't eat certain foods otherwise he would get really sick. We had to put him down it got that bad. But when we was at the vets, he just laid with me the entire time. Just before the injection, me , my dad, mum and sister couldn't let go off him.
Afterwards my parents got more dogs, i dont know why. They were probably trying to fill the void that he left when he died. I miss him:pinkiesad2:

I miss you

i am also sorry to hear

oh god why:raritycry: that story just makes me cry, I'm sorry to hear that Solid...having a pet for that long must have really torn you all apart. I remember losing my only pet about a two years ago. It's really hard and you never forget it becuase even though their not human...doesn't mean you love them any different.

Again sorry for your loss solid. I'll lay you off all your editing and directing jobs from my end until your ready to return.

Best regards ~Alex

I know we discussed this privately, but it know that sometimes the pain doesn't always go away quickly. I had another nightmare about facing the death of my dog last night, and he's been gone since November. The best that can be said is that she passed on her own, and while I know not being with your pet when they leave can be frightening and painful, it's not very likely that she had a violent or painful passing. She gave out, like a battery dying, possibly in her sleep. To me, that's on their own terms, leaving when they're ready to go.

If the pain is still with you, I do hope it passes and the happy memories remain. God bless, bro.

Thank you again for your words of sympathy. I know that death can plague a person's memories for quite some time, so I hope the nightmares stop soon.

My sympathies; I lost both my cats last year, during the pandemic.
