    Poem- 'Twas the Night Before Ficmas

    'Twas the night before Ficmas, and all of the bronies
    Were chilling at home, chatting with their homies
    Cookies by the fireplace were placed with care
    In hopes that St. Pinkolas would find them there
    The fillies were nestled all snug in their beds;
    While visions of Discord danced throughout their heads;
    And Ma with her stories, and Pa with his booze

    My Little Fanfic- Reflections

    Dear reader,
    So my first ever fanfiction has been released, and kinda flopped. I still hope people enjoy it if they should happen upon it whilst casually browsing the site, but
    I've learnt some important lessons here;
    -First, don't publish a first draft. Ever.

Poem- 'Twas the Night Before Ficmas · 8:45am Dec 2nd, 2013

'Twas the night before Ficmas, and all of the bronies
Were chilling at home, chatting with their homies
Cookies by the fireplace were placed with care
In hopes that St. Pinkolas would find them there
The fillies were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of Discord danced throughout their heads;
And Ma with her stories, and Pa with his booze
Had passed out by midnight for a winter's snooze,
When out on the lawn I could hear a commotion
I grabbed my camcorder with heated devotion
Away to the window I flew like a Dash,
A little too fast, I fell through with a crash!
Dear Luna looked down on her subjects below,
Her light gave a lustre to the winter snow,
When what did arrive to my infinite glee,
But a miniature sleigh and eight little ponies,
With a pink little driver whose voice then did cry,
“We’re coming in hard folks, WATCH OUT FOR THE ‘PIE!”,
Too quickly the group made a sudden descent,
(The sleigh seemed already to have a few dents)

She sang and she shouted, she called them by name:
"Now, Dashie! now, Sparkie! now Jackie and Rare!
On, Flutters! on, Derpy! on, Vinyl and Dare!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
“Hey, keep it together or I’m gonna fall!”
As children lay awake that crisp winter night
They came ‘cross an image, a wonderful sight
So up to the housetop the ponies they flew
With the sleigh full of candy, and St. Pinkolas too—
And there in a twinkling, a pinkling, a sparkling
The magic of friendship brought light to the dark things
As I drew in my head (to remain out of sight)
Pinkie Claus disappeared in a quick flash of light,
She was pink from her head to her candy floss tail,
And her love for her job nobody could curtail,
A bundle of sweets she had strapped to her shoulder
She was glowing with joy, what a thing to behold her!
Her eyes—how they twinkled! Her smile shone like stars
Her laugh was infectious; you could hear it from Mars!
Her face an expression of pent up elation
And the beard on her chin? Well, that’s decoration
The stump of a lollipop held ‘tween her teeth
I awaited what came next, I could hardly breathe
She had a kind face and a cute little belly
(She was also holding a bowlful of… jelly?)
She was bright and boisterous, mirthful and merry
Moreso than most with a bottle of Sherry
A wink of her eye and a break of fourth wall
Soon told me that I need fear nothing at all
She said not a thing, but began her work well
And, filling the room took her only a spell
And laying her hoof on her muzzle with care
She shot up the chimney, children unaware
She jumped on her sleigh and she fly into space
Now driving the thing with Celestia’s grace
And I heard someone say, as the world filled with cheer
“Enjoy it while it lasts, Dash’s turn is next year.”
