NaNoWriMo Wrap Up and Breaking the Barrier News · 6:32am Dec 1st, 2013
Well, National Write A Novel Month is now officially over. I sadly did not make the 50,000 word goal, but I did manage a solid 22,054. To put that in perspective, I wrote roughly the same amount of words for Breaking the Barrier, and it took me nine months. This only took me a single month. Now, there is still a great deal of editing to do, and I have to finish writing it, but that's still not to bad for only my second year of NaNoWriMo.
As for BtB, I'll be getting back to writing it as soon as I can. Right now though, I'm a little burnt out. But, I'm hoping to go back to my routine of a chapter every one to two weeks by the end of the month.
Oh, one other thing that I want to mention. Sometime after I finish BtB, and possibly before I start editing the NaNoWriMo novel, I'm going to be going back and reworking a good deal of the story. The structure of the narration, changing a few characters, and a few more things. I'm doing this because I've come to realize, thanks to a wonderful review by the folks at ZP Reviews, that the story needs far more work than I originally thought it did. So, there will be quite a few changes made to the previous chapters in the coming months.
I most likely won't be changing the main plot points, but there will be a greater level of polish once I'm through with it.
