Okay, so I know I've been posting more than my usual number of blogs lately, but Santa-day waits for no man. Also I have a couple announcements. Bear with me, folks.
So, now that Turkey-feast time is past and Black Friday has drowned our regrets with cheap deals, it's time for December! Everyone loves December!
'Cause a lot of people get presents on December, yes.
Anyhow, in Fimfiction tradition, I have changed my avatar to reflect the spirit of the season, which begins earlier every year. I hope you all will do the same.

Personally, I just doodled a bit in GIMP and added a Santa hat courtesy of fotoflexer, since a ready-made Santa hat is one of the available pictures. Do whatever you want, though. Just make sure you're Santa'd up by December. You shall not survive my wrath if you do not.

I'm planning on easing up on the gas with my story release schedule. I've been a little Prolific lately with how fast I'm writing things, and I'm prepared to admit I might not be pushing myself hard enough in quality, if not in quantity. This in mind, I'm probably going to be spending a lot of time this Christmas working to flex my fic-writing muscles, so it could probably take a while for you guys to see my next brand new fic.
It'll be like a spiritual journey or somesuch. I intend to make the next story a keeper.
BUT
That said, I've recently had the pleasure of going through my old stories pile and found one I never really got around to publishing. There are a lot of reasons that didn't happen back when I wrote it (maybe a year ago or so), but absolutely none of them are related to how much I liked writing it. 'Cause I did enjoy writing it. I think it looks pretty nice even now, and I'd like to think you guys would enjoy reading it.
This in mind, I've set about polishing it up for publication. Feel free to call it something to tide you guys over for the holidays, since I love you all. <3
Look for it to drop within a couple days or so. It's an odd little fic with an odd little premise, but I hope you guys will like it all the same.

Regarding your stories, I'd kinda like to see a little more variety in your stuff. I'm not complaining, as most of your fics (at least those I've read) are excellent, but they do tend towards either punch-in-the-gut sad, or random, silly comedies. I'd like to see your take on a few different genres, is all.

Yeah, true 'nuff. I did have a fair bit more along the lines of heartwarming/feel-good stuff in my earlier library, but I'll agree I've trended closer to a split between absurd and heart-wrenching in toning my more recent stuff.
I'll keep that in mind when thinking about what I ought to tackle this Jinglemas.
