Is it ban worthy to have alt accounts?

Can you be banned if you have alt accounts as long as you are not one to up vote stories of your own? I know Silent Bob had many and he got banned, however, he also had many other reasons. Any concept if it's bad having over three alts? I promise I never truly up voted my stories with any of my alts.

This seems like the kind of thing you would keep on the downlow just incase it is bannable, like that idiot that said he downvoted all featured stories.

1430428 Maybe for fear, some of the followers/watchers might not like what you want to post. For example, you draw innocent MLP artworks but you suddenly want to draw shipping as well, what do you do? Post it on your main account, risking losing followers/watchers or create another account? It depends on the person, one might upload on their main or create another account.

1430477 I'd post it on my own, it shouldn't be about getting or keeping follower/watchers. It should be about the art. I follow/watch a lot of people here and on deviantart and those people have stuff I don't really care for but they have other things that I do like.

Besides when people do split accounts like that, they're followers/watches miss out on other work that produce that they might like but aren't actively looking for. You just have to take the risk because you can't please all of the people all of the time.
