It occurred to me recently that it's been forever since I searched the backlog of stories here to find gems I'd missed. Came up with some wonderful tales that you should ALL BE READING. Y'all got it, sugarcube? Good.

The cover art gives away just a wee bit too much but it's forgivable. If you like headcanon, backstory, world-building, and adventure, get on this one ASAP. Discord manipulates Twilight and Luna toward each other and away from Celestia to exact his revenge. He's a chessmaster here, and plays the part well. It ignores Season 3 but is otherwise true to the series, so don't let the AU tag drive you off. This story's sitting at 228K words and it's criminal that it doesn't have move faves and followers. I do hope the author gets back on the wagon soon, because I can't wait to see where this goes, and even this far in it sounds like there's plenty more to come.

This does read like an early 2012 story, but don't let that throw you. Nightmare Moon comes after our favorite librarian and through dreams and trickery successfully takes over Twilight. Epic throne-room fight scene and some great little TwiLuna moments make this a fine read.

Like the famed AppleDash Group Collab and others, TwiLuna had to have its own. To get into these collaboration collections, you have to be willing to digest mini-fics (~500 words each) without much continuity. If that's okay by you then definitely give this a read. There are even story arcs of a sort, such as Fervert's pieces about Twi and Luna as astronomers in an Ultra High Altitude cloud-based observatory. Yours truly might have contributed a little piece, too! I may expand that one and tack it onto Luna's Librarian at some point. Check out the thread in the TwiLuna group if you want in on the action.

Also, you need to be following THIS PERSON. Yinglong Fujun doesn't have any posted stories; what you're going there for is the linguistic blog posts. If you ever need in-depth analysis of pony-fied language, it's there. Fascinating stuff! For authors, this is instant headcanon material.
