When I first introduced Pinkie Pie in that little segment of chapter 20, not much was revealed about her. All you really knew is she was apparently had a religious background, and she was a mercenary commander. The initial reaction seemed one of disappointed. Comments aside, I did get a few letters throwing suggestions immediately on what I should do with her. Mostly it was Dead Pool Pinkie Pie, or Cupcakes Pinkie Pie. Also had a couple of request for making her a thor pilot, though with no real idea as to where that should go. Apparently it would just be cool because someone made an interactive flash video of her as a thor pilot.
My reaction to the reaction was also one of disappointment. Dead Pool Pinkie Pie and Cupcakes Pinkie Pie in my opinion had been done to death. And while putting her in a thor would be fun and all, isn't really a very strong plot device for a long story. That'd be something that could be done for a short story, or a single chapter just for the fun of it, but nothing really you can work with in the long run. I wanted something completely out there, but still grounded in the rules of MLP and StarCraft. I figured, "Let's not only give her formidable void powers, but also put her in charge of billions of bits worth of military resources, then just let her run with it." I'm sure it's been done before, but if it has, I haven't seen it.
That said, it's been a while now since she first made her appearance, and we've seen her raise some serious hell. Not only did we initially see her individual strength on the Boarding Party chapter, but the assault on Cadia has also shown just how much raw fire power she has access too. She's still Pinkie Pie I'd like to think, but now with an army at her back. Not to mention some particularly violent soldiers just as crazy as she is. So now that we've seen her in action, what's everybody think of this version of Pinkie Pie? Tell me how you initially felt when you found out she was just a religious nut job and mercenary commander, and how you felt after you got to see her in action.
And fear not, there will be more details on her background story. But as you can see, there is a lot of stuff going on, so can't quite explain everything at once.
One more question. What would you call this version of Pinkie Pie? Cultist Pinkie Pie? Mercenary Pinkie Pie? Diamond Dog Pinkie Pie? I'm not really sure, because the whole thing is kind of out there.
Most of the time I dont question Pinkie and her actions I just roll with it (safer that way). Sorry if thats not the awnser you where looking for
Well,since she killed off Sovereign it sort of made me hate her for a bit but hey,you can't hate Pinkie forever. Especially when she can throw parties at the clap of a hoof. As for what I'd call her, probably Corporate Merc Pinkie Pie, or Cultist Merc Pinkie.
