The Modern Equestria Project: An Overview

I guess this is how I'll try to make my mark.

I've been building worlds in my head since I was a kid, always imagining the 'what ifs' and the 'if so, whys' and so on. It's a fun challenge, trying to make a world filled with people and places and all the wonderful things that could possibly be in that world, trying to create histories and write futures for the empires and the people inhabiting them.

I'd like to say that I've got a modicum of experience in this. I have two other projects well underway, "Phoenix Rising", a science fiction epic filled with action, intrigue, war, and adventure, and "Steel and Fire", an alternate history dealing with magitech and its implications. The Modern Equestria project is an alternate universe world building effort depicting a Royal Principality of Equestria that is on par with modern civilization. Many original characters are present, as well as numerous OCs such as Minister for the Environment Sustainable Growth or physicist Radiance Cloppenheimer.

It aims to build an entertaining world that is consistent with itself, yet flexible enough for numerous interpretations and new additions to the material. It will also offer insight into Equestrian culture and lifestyle, as well as the implications of the powers wielded by several characters in the original series.
