    I'm the worst :D

    I know! Terrible.

Just popping in for my periodic State of the Dancer, you know how I do.

Previously, I was lamenting my lack of free time due to the whole working full time and having my smol child. I decided to add to that by rebooting the soap business.

    Oh hey

Wow, been a hot minute, eh?

I've missed this site. Last year, I went through Some Shit over the summer and fall, and then I got engaged in November to a very nice man.

We get married in five days, and I had noticed a lot of registry gifts coming in all of a sudden with real names attached that I did not recognize.

Bear vs. Bare (stop making me do this, people) · 3:49am Aug 29th, 2013

Yes, it's that time again.

Bear vs. Bare.

"Bear" is a noun in one instance (outside of the possibility of a person/thing being named "Bear"):

Oh, hello again.

Yep. Large, fuzzy mammal of the family Ursidae.

The rest of the time, it's a verb. It can mean to carry something, to hold, to support something, to carry oneself in a particular manner, and so on. It can also mean to give birth and to get through or endure something.

Applejack's trees bear fruit.

Twilight brought her magic to bear against the Ursa Minor.

Rarity bears herself with confidence and sophistication.

"Bare" means, basically, naked. Unadorned. It can also mean to expose or uncover something.

Pinkie's body is bare, allowing you to see the balloons she bears on her flank.

Twilight's spell laid bare the changeling's true form.

So remember!

Bear: Harry (and other ursines/toys of same) and 'to carry'
Bare: Naked, or to expose.

The bare bear bears the bare pony.

Am I the only one who thought that Twilight and changeling pic was sexual? :derpyderp2:

Also, thanks for the helpful insight! :pinkiehappy:

1315062 Also, no problem. I figure visuals would be better than just words on a page, so.

I once killed a guy with my bear hands

Fun post, exploring a little language!

1315062 nope. At the same time. Nope.

When I walk about undressed, I am bare.

When other people see such occurances, they often relate me to bear.

AS SUCH - in my bareness I bear bare bearness.

1315062 No, except now yes. Damn you
:facehoof:

Twilight's spell laid bare the changeling's true form...she ran a tender hoof I AM NOT DOING THIS lalalala

Bear is also a verb.

"I bear the weight of the crown of Campylot."

"I was a ring bearer at my cousin's wedding."

I did not bare my cousin's wedding, unless you mean that I cast off its vestments and showed it off for all to see.

Please, keep continuing.

The imbeciles aren't going to learn from anyone else anytime soon. :coolphoto:

It's late early, shut up.
