Hey, folks, just a little status update. I know there are a few who will see this and wonder why it's been two months since I updated Star Bolt (I guess I am sticking with that name), and I have a couple of reasons.
First is the fact that I am a recent university graduate, and am having trouble with finding a job to fit my degree. The job I do have is a bit demanding and I recently got shifted to the graveyard hours, which throws my sleep schedule out.
Second, I attended and staffed a con last month, which got things a bit hectic for me when my costume fell through and I had to rush a bit to get a new one together. I did meet Jennifer Blake, though, and got some signed artwork from her, which is cool to a whole new standard for me.
Third, I've been planning. While I have started on the next chapter, I have been doing a lot of planning and thinking on this story, how to make it different and interesting and how I can still work in HP elements so it doesn't turn into an OC that happened to be named Harry Potter sort of thing.
But don't be afraid to message or post questions and ideas and stuff, or just to talk, I'm trying to be a bit more social.
Good luck in your life, and don't rush writing until you are ready. Writing in a chaotic period is very hard, possible (the Sadness is Art thing) yes, but difficult just the same. Still, try rereading Harry Potter book again and check out the pottermore website for some inspiration and stuff
